Hi, anyone happened to see his/her results in advance ?
January 30, 2014 at 8:38 pm #154691Lol not yet but last year june 2013 i did infact see the result but it was just 4 days before the results so maybe this time also π
January 31, 2014 at 1:15 pm #154711Id imagine they will have procedures in place to prevent this happening again,
I got an email from ACCA a few days ago saying that your not allowed to log in your My ACCA from 12 noon today until the results are released and anyone doing so will be contacted and action will be taken.
January 31, 2014 at 1:25 pm #154712louibee1024….I haven’t received any email from ACCA …
January 31, 2014 at 1:53 pm #154716louibee1024 ……neither did I receive anything – and if I did, I would consider it as a stupid email – it is ultimately their responsibility to implement the necessary controls.
January 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm #154717ok louibee1024 – you have misunderstood it – “any unauthorised attempt to access student information is being monitored by ACCA and we will follow up on any such attempts.” ……..trying to login to myacca is not an unauthorised attempt in my opinion. I would rather think that they are referring to other methods to obtain such information, ie by bypassing the system
January 31, 2014 at 2:52 pm #154723I also received the same email on 29th Jan and didnβt bother to read at all. To me, it was more like a routine email ACCA have sent to remind about the upcoming results.
Regarding the last two paragraph of that email however sounding to me like, old chaps (directors) were asking new blokes (students) to behave in using IT skills. Because they donβt want to admit their lack of IT knowledge and looking forward to pension without any scandal in that way.
Come on old chaps…. (Study P1+P3 yourself and) implement a better IT security (Outsource perhaps!!!)
January 31, 2014 at 7:11 pm #154731Guys be warned. Here is an email that ACCA sent out after the exam results leaked out in August 2013.
“Re : ACCA June 2013 Examination Results
On 3 August 2013, ACCA was alerted to an isolated incident involving the publication of an unauthorised link where provisional results for the June 2013 exam session could be viewed in advance of the official publication date of 8 August 2013.
We believe you attempted to access your results using this link, despite the fact that this was prior to the published results release date. Whilst we appreciate your desire to find out your results at the earliest opportunity, this activity, from an unauthorised source, placed significant risk on the release of results to all ACCA students.
ACCA requests that, in future, you refrain from such activity. For the security of our students and to protect the integrity of the exam process, any unauthorised attempt to access student information is being monitored by ACCA.
If you become aware of such activity then we request that you notify us immediately by email: students@accaglobal.com or telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000.
Yours sincerely
director β service delivery”January 31, 2014 at 9:42 pm #154739How was the method used before to achieve the exam results early?
I am waiting to find out if I am a chartered accountant or not. Normally I wouldn’t be too bothered about the results but these are my final 2 and the wait is absolutely killing me π π

February 3, 2014 at 3:19 am #154810For those clearing their final papers to become affiliate, are you still able to see your Dec 2013 exam entry ?
February 3, 2014 at 4:38 am #154812Has any finalist tried to enter for exams. If so what happens? Do you see your previous docket?
February 3, 2014 at 4:56 am #154813The previous docket is still available. This has been the order always if I amnot wrong. Normally exam entry is available only after the results are out for students no matter you are finalists or regular.
