2013 specimen exam
Part (iv) of the question 1, which ask for an assessment of the impact of this proposed new information system on the three improvement projects, the sample solution identify what the information requirements of each project are and whether or not the new system will meet those requirements. For example, the implementation of initiatives such as just-in-time manufacturing is heavily reliant on an appropriate information system allowing for co-ordination of deliveries and manufacturing schedules in order to meet customer demands.https://www.chinaacc.com/upload/html/2015/09/01/zh3e091e9dab374f89a698708afb1b7e97.pdf
June 2015 exam
Part (ii) question 1, with the same type of question:”Using the data in Appendix 3, assess the qualitative and quantitative impact on performance management at MS of response 1.”, the sample solution writes about the proposed acitivites that the company should take with the impact of the response at MS.
I want to ask with the same type of question about ‘ask an assessment of the impact of “somethings” on ‘somethings”‘, both methods for answering are acceptable or we have to base on the scenario to have suitable methods to answer this type of question and cannot use the other method of answering?ThanksJuly 17, 2024 at 12:43 pm #7086222013: if there is a new IS, it will produce new or different information. If the system does not produce relevant information then its effect must be low. If there are three projects being implemented then the effect of the new IS on these will depend on how congruent information needs and information supply are.
2015: this is not matching information needs and supply. You are presented with the information in Appendix 3 and have to work out how Response 1 might affect qualitative and quantitative performance. That is different to the first example.
For all questions you have to remain flexible. Assess the unique information in the scenario and address the, possibly unique, requirements as accurately as you can. Don’t look for formulaic answers.
