Hi,
I have seen suggested planning times for Q1 as 20-25 minutes and 10 minutes for Section B. Would you recommend writing the plan in your answer booklet or just relying on notes you make on the question paper. Writing in answer booklet would seem a better approach but may be duplicating effort. On the other hand if you ran out of time, would the marker use this plan and give some marks based on it?
I think a written out plan on your answer can be a duplication of effort. You don’t really get many (or any) marks for answer plans.
The important thing is to adhere to a strict timetable for each question, leaving it when time is up. I know from marking students’ mock exams that if, say, a 15 mark section is left out then it is difficult to do well.
