Sorry another basic question – I notice there are approx 8 new videos on contract law vs 14 or so old.
My question is simply – are the new lectures sufficient to cover the syllabus in full or is any kind of hybrid approach required?

Those new lectures are sufficient for your needs to be able to tackle the F4 (and the new paper) with confidence
Practice endlessly the mcqs and mtqs from a revision kit, read the notes, watch the videos, but practice, practice and more practice
And, of course, post any questions on this forum and I shall get back to you
