I have attempted the Jogger Ltd (question 240) the in the BPP revision kit. The issue is, the AIA on a £500,000 plant & equipment purchased on 30 Sept. 2019 is capped at £200,000.
I thought the AIA stood at £1 million for this period. I don’t understand why $300,000 (500k – 200k) was transferred to the main pool instead of a nil figure.
Can you clarify this for me please. Or is this an error?

I can only assume that the question has not been properly updated from last year when the AIA was set at 200,000!
