    Hi,

I wanted to post to thank open tuition for being the driving force in getting me to affiliate status with ACCA and share how I went about it.

Like a lot of people studying for ACCA, I have a family and busy job so I find it quite difficult to find the time to study.

I started ACCA in 2017 and I had three exemptions and completed it in June 2021.

    My strategy was:
Only do one exam at a time. This allowed me clearer focus and reduced pressure. I did 2 or 3 exams a year but only ever one per exam session.
For each subject you only need a strong grasp of the basics to pass. Open tuition provide this. The study texts for Kaplan etc will only confuse you with too much info. I only studied and understood opentuition notes (and watching some open tuition videos for topics I found difficult) and ignored the texts.
Use the exam kit from Kaplan to go through a few exam questions from every area of the syllabus. This helped fill in any gaps you may have from just using open tuition.
Give all questions equal time on the exam, you only need 50 to pass so knowing the basics of each area should get you there. Leaving questions unanswered is a massive issue if you want to pass.

    Thanks again opentuition !
