Hello Sir,
Could you please help me for Q86 Lucy?
For employee, the travel cost is not allowable since from home to permanent office, so why is it not added to the salary? (the mileage allowance is allowable and has been deducted for self employed), so why not add travel cost back?
Lucy would travel from home to REDPLC offices by train and would buy an annual season ticket costing $ 1500

Sorry but I do not have the question to refer to, but from what you have said above if the employee is paying her own travel costs from home to work then there is of course no allowable deduction but equally there is no assessment as she is rightly paying her own private expense of going to work, there would only be an assessment if it was being paid for by the employer.
