Hello,
Are those entries correct?
Purchase of 50,000 shares @ 3.50 = 175,000
At year-end: 50,000 @ 3.75=187,500
Dr. AFSFA – shares 12,500
Cr. OCI 12,500
After 1 year: 50,000 @ 3.4 = 170,000
Cr. AFSFA – shares 17,500
Dr. Equity 12,500
Dr. P/L 5,000
This bit looks like it should be Dr P/L 12,500, Dr Equity 5,000 and Cr Investment 17,500
and not, as you have posted
After 1 year: 50,000 @ 3.4 = 170,000
Cr. AFSFA – shares 17,500
Dr. Equity 12,500
Dr. P/L 5,000
