Hey John,
I sat the June 2021 session for AFM. It was my first time attempting the exam in CBE format as the previous P level papers I did were all Paper Based and I passed them all in first attempt (SAR, SBL & APM). I had exemptions awarded to me for the F levels. However, this CBE exam was quite daunting for me as I was very slow and feel like I have not written the kind of answers I see in model papers in terms of length and information. Are we expected to really add that much quantity to pass? I feel like I would have definitely passed if this was paper based. 🙁
The examiner never expects students answers to be as long as his model answers. His answers are longer and usually make more points than are required for the marks (for example the marks may be for making three good points but his answer might make five points, any three of which would get full marks).
This is because he knows that students learn from past exam answers and so he is doing it to help 🙂
Thank you so much for the response, Mr. John. I really appreciate it.
You are welcome 🙂
