I’m running a bit late with my studies at the moment for various reasons and wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what papers to register for to sit in June.

I sat two papers last year (F1 and F2) and passed F1. I was thinking of refoing F2 and sitting F3 by CBE in JUly but I am concerned that a lot of people here have found the CBEs more difficult.

I was also thinking of sitting two paper-based exams, perhaps F4 and F6. What do you think?

I am a full-time student at the moment – from home – and have no previous accounting experience or studies. Could someone advise on what papers might be easier for me to attempt from F4 onwards?

    Thank you for your help!

i need some confirmation on this but i believe that you can not attempt papers f4 onwards w/o passing the first three papers! having said that i think you should appear for f2 and f3 in june. it wont be possible for you to attempt f4 &f6 in june because the last day to register for paper based papers is 15th april! my advice would be to give f2&f3 in the coming month and then start preparing for f4,f5 &f6 in dec 2010 session.
as far as paper based vs cbe is concerned, it’s all non-sense! at the end of the day the same knowledge is being tested. i went for cbe and i suggest you do the same because if you give them in say may, then you wil have more time to appear for f4,f5 &f6 in dec session! since you have no prior accounting experience, both cbe and paper based will be about the same level of difficulty for you! and one more thing, this is ACCA, which is a professional qualification, don’t expect anything to be ‘easy’ here! 😀
    Good luck!
