Hi to everyone..
I am going to start the P’s for the December 2017 exam period.. I know that p1 and p3 will be one by September 2018 and may be a risk to take them now the two of them!
What’s the best way you advice me to take the exams? I got as well a full-time job and quite pressure at the moment…
Thanks!
June 11, 2017 at 1:28 pm #392726If you are not in a hurry to complete, then you may wait for the change. Personally for me, time is gold, if you could start and finish as early as you can, the better it is really. There are 4 sittings before the change, that is four P papers if you take one paper per sitting.

If i do not go for p1 or p3, which one you think will be good forward for December 2017 exams p2, p6 or p7?
Thanks again!
June 11, 2017 at 3:02 pm #392734You’re welcome. P2 is a good paper to learn, Corporate Reporting, I am sitting this in September and although challenging, I am learning a lot about IFRS. P6 would be a good one to do as well as I personally find Audit interesting too.

Are you doing the international or U.K. version of the P2 paper as I am considering doing p2 in September but not sure which version as I am not planning to do the audit module or become an auditor so should I do the international version?
Many Regards,
Samir
June 11, 2017 at 3:45 pm #392739Hello Samir, I am doing the P2 International version, due to its broader scope and flexibility and because ACCA being a global qualification, it would make sense to go for that.

Have you done or chosen your options yet as I wasn’t sure whether to do P4/P5 or P2 first? I will do P6 as my other option but probably last though.June 11, 2017 at 6:06 pm #392762That makes sense. I’m doing P2 in Sep, then P4 in December and potentially P3 in March or P6, I will have to see closer to the time. I aim to complete before the new changes in Sep 2018.
June 27, 2017 at 4:42 pm #394197I am in same position. Assuming I passed F8/F9 that I took a few weeks ago *crosses fingers*
I was thinking of doing P2 and an option in December 2017.
Then another option in June and the new exam in December 2018.
I worked out it would take me the same amount of time to do it if I went the “old way” and did P1 & P3 assuming I only did 2 per setting.
Only problem is I haven’t decided which options I want and will need to decide within a couple of days of June results day!
I don’t think I’ll go for auditing, but then I can’t narrow it down past that…
June 27, 2017 at 9:20 pm #394228That sounds a good plan and is very achievable. I have started the lectures for P3 actually, so I will likely sit the exam in September and fingers crossed, assuming I pass P1 which I took in June, then I only have P2 as well to do in Sep. I can then devote my time to the option papers in Dec and then June.
