    Hey there,

I am thinking of attempting P6 for June 2015 session and would appreciate getting some advice to start preparation.
Just found out I failed P5 (42) on first attempt (thought I did well enough to pass, oh well) so figured since I do prefer the calc based papers, P6 may be better and I did pass F6 first attempt.

So my question is what is the best text to use? Any other supplementary books, materials or websites that may be helpful? Any advice on technique, major topics etc
I will be doing the UK variant, though I live in North America.

    Appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks a lot.

Since you have started with P5, i would think it is better to stick to the subject you know already. Find out where you have made mistakes, review examiners reports and check what and how they want the answers.
However, if you choose to change to P6, i used Kaplan and It’s easier to understand because it starts from the pre knowledge and builds up to the advance tax.
Note that Kaplan text is very voluminous therefore there is the tendency to easily forget. The trick is to continue practicing questions and revising any topic already studied while moving on to newer topics.
