I think lahore misread what you were asking! (and I don’t know why he answered anyway because the ask the tutor forums are for tutors to answer 🙂 )

During the 15 minute reading time, you should read the requirements for each question and see what topics are being examined. It makes sense to start first on the question you feel most confident about.

Also, when you read the requirements, underline the key things they are asking. (For example, they often say things like ” calculate and comment on”, so underline calculate and underline comment. The reason is that once you start doing your answer it is very easy in a hurry to do one thing and then not notice the other thing they are asking.)

Also, write against each section of each question how much time you should be spending (multiply the number of marks by 1.8 to get the number of minutes). The reason is that otherwise there is a risk of spending 20 minutes on a part that is only worth 5 marks! You would have been better to leave it not finished and have more time left for other parts!

Finally, if you have done all that, then start reading the full question and underline bits that you are going to need, and start doing arithmetic or writing notes for written parts on the exam paper.

But remember, although you can write on the exam paper, you cannot hand it in to be marked.

    Thank you a lot John.
Your answer helped me to be more calm and more ready for the exam.
    Thank you once again 🙂
