Hi all,
I am new to the site, I am due to start my study from F4 onwards. My question is can I do ACCA if I dont have a mentor/ qualified accountant to sign me off on work experience etc, I have been offered a job by a family member to look after the accounts side off the business so I will be in charge. I am not 100% sure of the rules so any feedback would be great.
You do not need a mentor to sit the exams, but you will need a chartered certified/chartered accountant to sign off your work experience for your PER. I suspect you will be the most senior accounting person if you take up the offer, so you will need to have either the auditor, or a chartered accountant familiar with your work to cosign along with your manager.
