    hello sir
i am planning to appear for p4 exam for the june 2018 session.
it is going to be my first attempt.
so there are 6 weeks for the exam and ..i am a full time student..
i want to ask is this time sufficient for preparing for p4?
also..i am planning to rely on opentuition lecture videos ..lecture notes and kaplan kit
    would that be enough?
or should i use a textbook?
also.. i would like to know .. your recommended approach to learning..
should i watch all the lectures and then start solving kaplan kit qestions?
or should i do questions side by side..
i am having access to p4 trial classes..woud you recommend me to take them along with ot lectures?or should i just stick to ot lectures
    thankyou

i would like to ask one more thing..
for the foundation level papers.. i used to listen to lectures.. and solve simultaneously..
i tried doing that with p4 but .. in 1 question they have so many elements being asked ..its so intimidating..to see that.. so.. i was wondering if i should write in september..so that i have enough time for practise..
also i would like to know..if its just me.. or is that the way for p4.. as in..that is the way questions are ..and it would be difficult for everyone but doing the kit atleast twice would make it better?
like when i tried to attempt doing one question i felt it was too difficult..i remember fo f7 paper .. i felt a bit like this because consolidation questions had a lot of elements going on but it got better with practise..
so i just want to know i feel this fear ..is it because i am just starting it out.. eventually it would get better right?i would be able to cope with the question style through practise?so do i need more time till september sitting?

6 weeks should be enough time given that you are studying full time. However a lot depends on how numerate you are, and how easy or difficult you found Paper F9 (and how much you remember from Paper F9).

You are correct that many P4 questions (especially the 50 mark question 1) test on many areas of the syllabus in the same question. For that reason it is not really feasible to attempt many questions in the Exam Kit until you have covered everything.

Our lectures and notes cover enough to be able to pass the exam well, but the more extra the better. I don’t know what these trail classes are, but if you have access then take advantage of them. Also do read the technical articles on the ACCA website.

I had done p4 with opentuition and.. It was my most favourite paper in the f series..
The trial classes i am talking about is.. An institue nearby that has opened recently is providing trial classes…1 or 2 classes is for trial.. If i am satisfied.. Then i can enroll for the rest.. They have revision classes in which they solve revision kit questions.. So i was thinking.. I will watch ot lectures for understanding the basics.. And their revision classes for past papers… Ok sir so you are advicing me to watch all the lecture videos and.. Then start solving questions right?? So its a different approach in comparison to other numerical papers.. Instead of solving kit simultaneously we do. The kit after all the videos right? So starting from today i am keeping 10 days to 14 days to watch the videos. Because i am full time student no other commitments.. And this is my final paper so i can give all time.. And by the 1st of may.. I plan to start the kit.. And there are around 80 questions in the kit.. So i am thinking miniumum 5 questions per day.. So around 17 to 20 days to cover the kit.. And revising the kit again.. This is my study plan for now..

I am suggesting studying everything before practicing questions because for P4 exam questions rarely test just one topic – they test lots of topics in the same question.

Your study plan seems sensible and you should be able to do it in time for June 🙂
