    Dear lans50,
We do not recognise this description of our services (posted above on Mar 11, 2025) nor the activity you are describing here since we have an exceedingly high rate for first time passes and also for those who come to us having failed when having previously used a different mentor.
Further evidence of Absolute Mentoring’s spectacular performance is the fact that on 3 separate occasions one of our students has won the prize independently awarded by Oxford Brookes University for the best RAP submitted worldwide.
Unlike most other Mentors, we are professional academics with years of hands-on experience of research, teaching and assessing coursework and have also been members of the Oxford Brookes RAP Marking Team, which gives us in depth insight into why RAPs fail and conversely, the approach needed to get a good grade.
You have chosen to post under the cloak of anonymity, and if you care to remove your pseudonym, we can investigate your complaint objectively. Otherwise, we must construe your comment as a malicious, potentially libellous comment and an attempt to smear our good reputation. It is of course at great variance with the experience of our many delighted and successful students all backed by our verified pass rates. We do not incentivise students to leave positive reviews either – they are all done voluntarily by very grateful genuine students.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Lorraine on my ACCA Oxford Brookes degree project, where I focused on AstraZeneca.

From start to finish, she was incredible — professional, knowledgeable and supportive, keeping me on track when I had odd ideas!

    Thankyou Lorraine!

I have been awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting degree with UPPER SECOND CLASS HONOURS.

This was my first attempt and submission, and I achieved an outstanding result from the university.

I am incredibly thankful to have found my wonderful tutor and mentor, Lorraine, at Absolute Mentoring. With Lorraine’s exceptional guidance and expert support, I have fulfilled my aspiration of obtaining a UK degree BSc (Hons) from Oxford Brooks University. I feel very happy and appreciative!

I had my first BA degree exactly 20 years ago in my home country. The first degree is not related to my current career in the field of public accountancy practice in the UK. So it has always been my dream to have a degree in accounting from the UK. Now at the age of 42, a mum to one little girl, my dream has come true!

I wholeheartedly recommend Lorraine to anyone seeking an expert tutor for their academic journey and goals! I couldn’t have achieved this without Lorraine’s guidance.

I have just passed my RAP at my first attempt and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lorraine McKechnie again. During my BSc Applied Accounting research project, she provided many constructive feedback and helped me align my work with the marking criteria. Besides, she also gave me practical recommendations on the report format and its difference with a “paper”. She demonstrated attention to detail, deep understanding of the marking criteria and professionalism throughout the process.

I truly appreciate the effort she took to help me polish my RAP and I highly recommend Lorraine to future students seeking a mentor.

I’m incredibly grateful to Irwin from The Learning Luminarium for his patience and unwavering support throughout the RAP. He was very responsive and provided thoughtful and constructive feedback that helped me improve with each iteration. His deep understanding of the marking criteria and ability to articulate it clearly gave me the direction I needed.

Thanks to his mentorship, I was able to pass the project on my first attempt while juggling other commitments like work and a baby. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a mentor!

I had the privilege of learning with The Learning Luminarium – Irwin for my ACCA OBU Research Project, and I am truly grateful for his support. With his guidance, I passed on my first attempt and achieved an A grade, which was one of my proudest achievements.

This was the first time I felt I had learnt so much. He set clear deadlines and a structured timeline, and despite English being my second language and my limited experience of writing outside of ACCA, he never made me feel discouraged. He guided me every step of the way, provided feedback, and was always available for questions.

Completing this research came with many challenges, and at times I felt like I would never get there as I trying to juggle life and work commitments but Irwin’s patience, encouragement, and positivity made a huge difference to my confidence and success. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for dedicated and supportive guidance.

Truly grateful and thankful to Irwin from The Learning Luminarium. I passed my RAP on the second attempt! He identified the weaknesses in my project and guided me throughout with incredible clarity and support, helping me understand exactly what needed to be done. He was very patient with my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the RAP process so much smoother. Irwin is not only highly professional but also very understanding and supportive. I’m truly grateful to have chosen him as my mentor for my P50 submission, and I would highly recommend him to anyone working on their RAP.

I passed my RAP with Second Class Honors and Grade B in the first attempt and I would like to thank my mentor Lorraine McKechnie from Absolute Mentoring for her immense support and guidance throughout the process.

She was extremely helpful, supportive, motivating & respectful from the start to the finish and also accepting/understanding of the ideas I proposed for the issues at hand.

Despite being late in submission of my drafts which impacted the decided schedule, she was very accommodating and her responses to my queries were always detailed, helpful and straight to the point as she provided examples along with the needed explanation.

Her feedback on my drafts enabled me to structure my report effectively, adjust my sentences to meet the word limit and improve professionalism in my report.

Initially I felt the number of meetings offered might be insufficient, but as the OBU project progressed, my queries were answered in the meetings and through the emails, hence I felt the number of meetings (3) were sufficient as per the time available to complete the OBU project.

One of the main reasons I considered Lorraine for mentoring was for her extensive experience as a marker for a long period of time. This helped structure/improve my report and meet the marking criteria from the examiner’s POV.

Her response to my emails was within the timeframe of 3-4 days, even though there were some delays at times, the response was always satisfying and helpful as needed.

Anyone who is comfortable with the structure of mentoring offered by Lorraine McKechnie and is willing to put in the effort required along with asking questions proactively, should definitely consider Absolute Mentoring.

I have a question regarding in-text citation in the Research and Analysis Project.

    1. When making an in-text citation regarding Annual reports, shall I inclue the legal form of the company. Which is the correct one- Tesco Plc,2023 or Tesco,2023

    2. I created charts for the ratios and all calcualtions are done by me in the Excel file. I will copy the charts into the Word file. However, should I include the financial statements as sources below the charts since all calculations were done by me and calculated ratios are not available in the statements.
