Dears,
I am asking regarding the certificate “Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business”
1- Is there any value for this certificate in the market?
2- What if I am not able to complete the full 13 papers within the last exam date (7 years or 10 years period), will that have an impact to start from scratch or will that certificate still valid and give me 9 papers exemptions ?
Thanking you,
October 15, 2019 at 2:08 pm #549644I have the same question (1). Is having the diploma enough to start applying for junior positions in accountancy? How about CAT, is it a big step up?
Many thanks,

There is another thread on here that is relevant to your issue about someone wanting to give up ACCA.
Anyway, for your first question, the advance diploma definitely has a value as it is an achievement in itself. It is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the UK and EU framework. You may want to put that on your CV to explain the level i.e. level 6.
For your next question, please refer to other posts on here. There are options for you, so don’t despair.
May 16, 2024 at 12:44 pm #705515I have ACCA – advanced diploma in accounting and business.
Can it be used to get job in UAE?
UAE requires graduation for work visa.
Will my advanced diploma work as graduation alternate for visa purposes?May 16, 2024 at 1:24 pm #705517Looking at this https://visaguide.world/asia/uae-visa/residence-visa/work:
Category 1: If you have at least a bachelor’s degree
Category 2: If you have a post-secondary diploma in any field (i.e. a diploma received after high school)
Category 3: If you have a high school diplomaSo the Q is, what is the equivalence of the ACCA advanced diploma in accounting and business?
According to ACCA (browse “ACCA Qualification: recognition status” to find the pdf), ACCA DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS (RQF LEVEL 4) ” is equivalent in level to year one of a UK bachelor degree” – so it does not meet category 1.
