Hey mate
I`m generally pretty good on this topic but the one thing that is confusing me is about restructuring
In what case would the announcement of a restructuring be an an adjusting event?
And when would this not be the case?
Where the company directors have made the decision to restructure and have announced to anyone directly involved (so their decision is now in the public domain) and then the year end comes along and no provision has yet been made for restructuring costs, that would represent an adjusting event …
… except where those costs are not reliably estimable in which case that would be disclosed as a disclosure note to the financial statements
