Nice surprise this morning when I learned that my first prize for qualifying is a £211 bill to transfer to member status. Anyone know how long they allow for this to be paid?

I understand that I will start paying the £211 annual subscription fee from 1 January following final exam pass, therefore 1/1/16. What about the £83 I paid last month when I was a student? I’m assuming that this technically covers this year and they don’t refund it?

£211 for an ‘admin fee’ – wow. Money for old rope.

I still had to pay £211 after just paying £83. Is that not the same for everyone?

I think so. Appears they the £211 to transfer is a one off ‘admin’ (or top up of profits) fee and then we start paying the £211 from next January. So I guess they’d spin it by saying “we’re allowing you to pay £83 for the year even tho you were a student for just a month of it therefore you’re saving £128.”

Just got to suck it up. Anyhow, found out that my employer pays it so all good!
