Hi Mike
Thanks for the quick reply on the other question. I’m still confused as Question 33 of the specimen paper is:
“Which of the following statements relating to limited liability partnerships is correct?
They are limited to a maximum of 20 members
They must have a minimum of two members
They must have at least one unlimited member”
And the answer is “they must have a minimum of 2 members”
So I understood it as:
– a limited partnership must have one member with unlimited liability
and
– a limited liability partnership has at least 2 designated members who are responsible for filing accounts etc.
Thanks
Leah
Just rereading that I think I have it!
Is it because a LLP must have at least 2 designated members, so therefore a LLP would have at least 2 unlimited members?
Thanks
Leah
Yes, there must be at least 2 designated members in a limited partnership
