Acca qualified

I am confused as to where to do these papers and whether it is better to study at Kaplan for these exams to enhance my prospects of getting a better job? If so what kind of jobs are most suited besides an accounts assistant to cover the 3 years of practical experience?

Is there anybody who has actually gone through acca and ended up in a better company than they used to work for? Any acca qualified people who could actually give the low down on what it is like to sit these papers and what future prospects it can give ?
