    Hi there

    I am sitting P1 in September, and I will be sitting the next exam in December. So I have to start my studying before I get the results for P1!

    Therefore I am thinking do I sit P2 or P3 in December. Normally I would just do P2. But with the exam format changes in Sept 2018 I am a bit worried about failing and ‘losing’ passes. I’ve heard P2 is arduous. And I self study everything after full time work hours.

    If I sit P3 straight after P1 then at least if I pass both I am exempt from the new format for those.

    The underlying question is really would the syllabuses suit doing P1, P3 and then P2? Any advice would be much appreciated.

    I’m aware I’m being a bit negative in thinking ‘if I fail’ it is a problem. But I’d rather be sceptical and not waste time!!

    Thanks in advance for any and all help in this matter.

    Your choice of attempting P3 as soon as possible and also keeping a margin of failing is very much sensible and it is not a negative thinking.

    P1 and P3 is a very good combination as the two exams have similarities. Although these both are wordy exams and you might get bored but apart from this, the combination is very much suiting.

    There is no harm nor any loss in doing P1 and P3 before P2.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    Those were precisely my thoughts. I’ll start studying P 3 straight after P1 and fingers crossed I get it all done first time around!

    This is exactly my predicament too, so I thank you for posting!
    Coupled with the fact that I do not self study and it does not appear that P2 is going to be offered as a taught course for the March sitting…
    Still, I think I will get both wordy exams out of the way this year and then tackle P2 for March with OTs help of course 🙂

    @Doogan27

    I would just like to know if you study wholly from opentuition notes and lectures?
    If you use them you really shouldn’t need any tuition provider neither any study text.
