Hello All
Please help me with my urgent query
i am trying to record my work experience now first time. i have over 9 years of work experience.
i worked in ernst & young uk in a non audit role for 4 years.
what does my supervisor from this company need to sign off?
the website of acca requires me to put his details and i have done that.
is the supervisor only required to sign off on the duration of employment and the title of role?
what if i cannot get hold of my supervisor?
another person is ready to sign off my work exp but he is an ACA accountant and he was not my supervisor and never worked for my company. is that ok?
September 24, 2017 at 2:03 pm #408499E&Y is an approved employer, so you only need to complete the approved employer PER form.
In section 3, your supervisor should sign for the objectives which they think you have done so far in your role.
It does not matter which accounting qualification the supervisor holds. However, your “another person” should not sign your exp because he has no relationship with the E&Y, your “approved employer”.

please advise what happens if the employer is not approved acca employer
i am asking this for a friend who needs assistance as well
he worked for a small firm in pakistan but none of the firm members are accountants. he worked as an accountant
what are the options in this case?
September 24, 2017 at 5:54 pm #408519I think you should be able to find the answers on ACCA’s website. Suggest to drop an inquiry to ACCA if you want a definite answer.
If your friend does not work for an approved employer, he will have to record and report the process by writing one narrative statement for each objective which he thinks has been achieved.
If none of others employees of the firm is a qualified accountant of any accounting body..see below extract.
WHO CAN BECOME A PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR?
To sign-off performance objectives you must be a qualified accountant or auditor. However, if you are a trainee’s line manager, but you are not a qualified accountant, you can still sign-off the time they have completed in a relevant role. The trainee can nominate a second qualified supervisor to work with you to sign-off the performance objectives.
