Good, the passing rate is not lower than what I expected.
February 20, 2012 at 6:59 pm #94535Indeed, the F-levels were horribly done this year. I cannot recall the pass rates being this abysmal across the board.

Hello,
Any expert please guide me what should I do, I gave P6 and P7 together and failed in both.my scores are P6=24 and P7=43 ,
Really dont know what to do?? …I have made a decision to attempt P7 again..but cannot decide about p6 should I attempt it again through self study..or Switch to P5 and study under a gold status institute and attempt it whole heartedly ???February 22, 2012 at 6:36 am #94537AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

You have to find it in yourself.
I did (a few years ago now) P4 as I was recommended it by agents etc.
After failing – I swapped to P7 and qualified the next sitting, I had a friend who stayed with P4 and failed it again.Unless you NEED P6, I’d say get your pass, get your ACCA and then you can always go into a tax course afterwards!
But it all depends if a new course is right for you financially and worth the work/course. It means starting from scratch (0%) rather than your existing study (23%)

I would advise you to be consistent. stick to a paper until you pass it. if you can pass p6 then you should be able to pass any paper. i dont know how many papers you remaining with but i suggest you take one paper at a time. good luck.
February 26, 2012 at 8:44 pm #94540i have cleared all papers till p3 in first attempt and now i am giving p5 and i am confused whether i should give p4 with it or p7?which is more difficult to pass?
February 29, 2012 at 8:42 pm #94541Hey, I’ve been attempting f7 since Dec,09 continuously and still I haven’t passed it. I don’t know what goes wrong ? I am stoned, it’s not easy for me to understand why i keep on failing inspite of all the hard work. Please suggest me something, anything that you think could be helpful. This Acca specially F7 has driven me crazy :’-(
Those who started Acca with me qualified way back and till date I have managed to pass only 6 papers. F1-F6 :’-(
Please Help !Crying Fellow

@arsalan999: if f7 hasnt changed much since the time i took it, i know there is a lot to digest in this exam. way to go is to learn the layout format of consolidated accounts and structure it quickly, then feed in the figures as you work your way through step by step. dont worry about balancing it up as that might eat up your time. allocate your time responsibly and this june you will pass f7.
another thing is to be honest with yourself as you practice past questions. try to time yourself and put yourself through the torture of a ticking clock and dont worry much whether you are failing dismally. with more practice your speed improves and the marks also improves.
remember if you practice like you are fighting, you will fight in june like you are practising. you are not alone. others have been in a predicament like yours but ended up passing all the exams. Good luck.
