quite hard to get my head around it. at most i’ll get 8, or max 10 marks for that question, if i’m lucky enough.
September 10, 2020 at 2:43 pm #584755Same here…I was honestly well prepared but not prepared for the fked up grammar and the way they asked the questions. I solved textbook over 3 times EVERY single question and no linear regression question was ever worded like that and I never had one that repeatedly kept canceling each other out. I tried to even divide up the machine hours and labour hours compared to its cost per hour and it made even less sense . I hated this exam but all I can do is hope I passed. Considering the amount of complaints they received I really wish they’d allow us to retake it with better grammar. It’s already unfair remote exam students now get a head start compared to us
September 10, 2020 at 2:45 pm #584756I totally agree… It was a devastating experience as this is my second time taking it and I studied nearly 500 hours combined. I couldn’t find questions with that level of terrible grammer and complication even in every single question I attempted in the mocks. I miss the first attempt exam I did, it was easier than this even if I didn’t pass
September 10, 2020 at 2:49 pm #584760I am concerned as well but I still think I will voice my complaint. That exam was too terrible and unfair to remain silent
September 10, 2020 at 6:38 pm #584852I got the same thing! I only had 15mins to answer though. Can’t even remember what it asked now. was break-even analysis I think which was the one area in the whole entire syllabus I didn’t get time to perfect. so that’s a strike off. Hoping my understanding of ROI and RI for the other big c gets me through. I was a little confused which figures to use in the financials they gave to use for the capital employed though, wasn’t clear what was the liability as I knew it definitely wasn’t going to be the equity + long term debts as those weren’t featured at all!
I hate this exam. third time sitting since march. I have perfected everything, even optimal pricing algebra which I struggled with at first– everything except CVP and that had to be featured everywhere this time round– feel disheartened and disappointing but my friend told me to buck up because the best drivers never pass first time! Hopefully everything is so ingrained that the higher exams will be easier — hoping I passed this time…
September 10, 2020 at 6:40 pm #584854I just had a look at the comments in other chats about other exams but they are OK. It seems that we were the lucky ones..
I bet it was a new person who designed our PM exams, or as someone said they did it in a rush.
It would be devastating having to re-sit because of their mistakes. The least they can do when they make a mistake in one question (I.e. the simultaneous equations that could not be solved ) is to give us those 2 points for the damage caused.
September 10, 2020 at 6:53 pm #584863Omg @amariag1982 – think I got exactly the same paper. I found all the health nuts Q rubbish.Hated it. thought it was also very wordy for what needed doing and I ran out of time to do it. I quite like the learning curve stuff. In the yuri Lux Q,I thought the ROI figures weren’t clear enough particularly in figuring out what I needed for the capital employed figure…maybe not understanding it properly maybe but I do think it was a bit harsh. I found that I could identify what should be the liability. Although understood they expected you to know that the controllable profit is before tax. .
September 10, 2020 at 7:20 pm #584871Yep, totally get you! Exactly what I meant. Given more time I’m sure it would seem easier. The Health Nuts had information all over the bleeding place.
September 10, 2020 at 8:48 pm #584895I calculated that the Yuri manager gets bonus…
September 11, 2020 at 9:43 am #584941Hi everybody,
All those of you who sat for F5 exam under remote invigilation, were you allowed to use a scientific calculator?
Any response would be much appreciated!
September 11, 2020 at 12:59 pm #584996I got this question and also calculated that neither of the managers got bonus this year as it was below target(i think in the question it said to calculate bonus ”if any”)
September 11, 2020 at 1:02 pm #584999I don’t recall there was a question to calculate RI? I did calculate this but by mistake and when realised I calculated ROI as requested and left the RI calculation just for discussion purposes
September 11, 2020 at 1:03 pm #585000It was third for me
September 11, 2020 at 1:08 pm #585006Did you calculated that both managers got no bonus or that either or both got it?
September 11, 2020 at 1:37 pm #585022I also answered TPS
September 11, 2020 at 3:39 pm #585071When the results will be out please? My Account says 12th but I called ACCA they said 19th?

It might be because of the two week window for the remotely-invigilated session based exams.

Hey, I did their remote pilot, you can use a scientific calculator but no scrap paper
September 11, 2020 at 5:01 pm #585111I wouldn’t say it was easy as such, but I wrote this exam once before and that time I walked out feeling like it was a huge disaster but then I only failed it by 6%, this time I’m feeling a lot more positive so hoping I did passed.
September 11, 2020 at 5:13 pm #585117Did you rank from the lowest or highest figure?
September 11, 2020 at 6:31 pm #585153PM is the paper with the lowest pass rate.ACCA should review and give it 4 hours. Why is is same time with the rest.
We are going to petition for more time in PM #PM more time and less wordy no need for all of that distructors.
What do you think guys. This was a disaster grammatically.
September 11, 2020 at 6:36 pm #585157#ACCA PM more time for PM paper 4 hours. Review the paper why you give it same time with rest when you clearly know that it if a wide syllabus and low pass rate. Stop making and look in non-financial issues
September 11, 2020 at 6:52 pm #585166I really had the feeling like they were not testing my knowledge. But all the questions were about how to trick me not to answer correct. I studied really hard. I am disappointed!
September 11, 2020 at 7:31 pm #585175I got the same exam. It was bloody hard to complete. I self-studied with BPP and Kaplan books and I did not find any question that they have in their Exam Kits. it is ridiculous!!
