Today’s exam was just completely different. I didn’t think exam could be worded so differently.

There was question about Linear programming in my section C and I was really puzzled about constraints. Because there was only common number of labour hours for 3 products and I did not understand how I have to allocate them. How to draw up an equation.

Note to ACCA: Kindly delete all the practical topics from PM syllabus so that we can focus on MIS and Life cycle costing in our lives

@dk1981 it wasn’t tough, its the theory that killed the exam with no relevance to our practical lives whatsoever

I got the Robinholt’s University Performance Measure question and then the Course training question, very weird that. Never attempted a single question like that. Managed to get something on the sheet though.

I don’t think the paper was super hard or anything, just a different approach by examiner. The previous comment about the paper being worded differently is so true.

Let me see if i remember correctly the questions in Section C, i had one where i had to produce a flexed budget which was 3 marks and super easy, then i had to comment on the managers performance based on that budget. To be honest theory isn’t my strongest side in this subject so i just wrote down what i could gather and remember. Then another question on incremental budgeting theory aswell, then one final on participative budgeting which i was not able to complete because of lack of time.

The 2nd questions was i think about transfer pricing where i had to make a financial statement of all things, this was super wierd. Was not able to complete it either, but did attempt the second theory part which asked for reasons or advantages of transfer pricing systems.

If i had more time i would have definitely completed the 2nd question but that’s on me i guess.

Yes I had that question, out of all my questions I was least sure I answered this correctly. Did you use the £53 pricing for operational variance and £50 to compare planning variance?

Just one question I would like to know the answer… was anyone asked a demand question where the product demand dropped by 200 for each £1 it Increased in price? Think the sales were 1000 and currently selling at £100
