I thought the exam was a disaster the third time sitting PM got 44 and 47 the last two times and I would give anything to have had those exams again. I thought they were so different to what I had done in the mocks and they were worded in a strange way. Just a nightmare, walked out crying as I know I will be lucky to even scrap 30% ????
March 4, 2020 at 8:40 pm #564273I had 2 major technical issues with the exam:
1. It took long to navigate between questions because of the scroll issue.
2. In the section C, I could not view the scenario and my answer properly at the same time.
I feel these issues could be the difference between passing and failing for me.March 4, 2020 at 8:52 pm #564277I got a zero cost gap too thought it was odd but the question said ‘if any’ which made me think it was correct!
March 4, 2020 at 9:03 pm #564280I have complained to ACCA regarding the technical issues you have mentioned via the ‘mitigating circumstances’ section in ‘myacca’. I spent a ludicrous amount of time scrolling left to right and up and down, whilst trying to read the enormous amounts of text and data they put in each scenario. Then to compound this I wasnt even able to progress from one question to another without trying 20 times to do it. Like you, I couldn’t see the question when I was writing the answer. It was so stressful and time consuming and my performance definitely suffered because of it. This CBE was simply not fit for purpose
March 4, 2020 at 9:04 pm #564281Anyone had the bank question? It looks easy but couldn’t make up the answer thanks
March 4, 2020 at 10:07 pm #564290Hi, it asked for some other constraints too, I managed to get the material one but which other constrains could I have put?
March 4, 2020 at 10:13 pm #564291The answer to the bank question was $12.50. This question was asked previously in March 2018 exam if you want to check out how to answer with new customers etc how’s its worked out. I was repeating the PM exam and this question got me last time. Was so surprised to see it again today
March 4, 2020 at 10:36 pm #564293Did anyone get the lifecycle costing one, where marketing cost was 50000, sales price was 300 and first year sales was 1000 but 2nd year went down by 500 and third year too summat to do with a card company I think? What was the answer to that, I think options where 16.66,8.33 25 and another option which I can’t remember
March 4, 2020 at 10:42 pm #564294There was a question i think in section A about the profit made which needed to be calculated by the lifecycle costs from the revenue given. However i also deducted the initial development cost – is that correct?
Section B was very hard – only question i could actually attempt was the MAXIMIN MAXIMAX uncertainty question but even for that i could not work out the payoffs for the month of August!!!
Section C i got Sales Mix and Quantity – For the sales mix i did Actual sales X Budget contribution and then the standard mix at budgeted contribution. – is that what people did ?
Another section C was on performance measurement on AIO – wrote so much crap here didn’t know if i did it correct!!!
For innovation objective i just said 40% of its employers believe AIO is a innovative company and also said that they have a innovation team that help members… BUT don’t know how correct this was!March 4, 2020 at 11:42 pm #564297@sheeidan01 I honestly hope ACCA considers our complaints. I literally failed to scroll to the last questions in the last 10 minutes, kept clicking away and got one of the invigilators to try, she couldn’t hack it either. I basically just watched the clock tick away from 7 to 0 mins. Beyond a nightmare!
March 5, 2020 at 1:31 am #564300This paper was such a disaster for me. It was hard to concentrate as students was rattling away on the keyboard. Scrolling through the paper was difficult hence the screen being small and you have to keep dragging to read the question. I am sure I failed cause I guessed most answers and part C was a level disaster as time ran out. Acca should consider giving us an option, paper based or computer based. We can probably all learn to use the software but they need to provide bigger screens with the questions side by side without having to scroll all the time. I couldn’t focus with rattling keyboards it’s quite annoying. I lost all my concentration with the keyboard noise. This was so depressing in the exams.
March 5, 2020 at 1:43 am #564302Every question r included in text book, no weird question there. Dont understand why u guys said it is “Disaster”.
March 5, 2020 at 7:13 am #564310I know, it was awful. ACCA should take our concerns seriously and I’m hoping everyone affected lets them know. It’s completely unacceptable for them to provide computers that don’t even have the most basic functionality, and then just expect everyone to get on with it as though it’s fine.
March 5, 2020 at 8:30 am #564323I’m not too sure about the life cycle costing one, usually yeah you would include the 50,000 development cost in the life cycle costing, but I couldn’t get to an answer from any of there options ?
March 5, 2020 at 10:17 am #564333section a) MCQs.. targetconding is a form of?
feedback control, forward or doubleloop?
anyone this question?March 5, 2020 at 10:19 am #564334@martindeo
@rsammut
@planiAs I remember the task about plane was as follows:
Target price 50 m
VC 14m
Initial cost 60 m, allocated into each plane I got 1m per plane
End life cost 5 mTotal life cycle cost per plane 20
Target cost with 50% margin = 25
Where is mistake?

Yup, thus there is no cost gap as the Life Cycle Cost is less than the Target Cost. At least that’s what I answered
March 5, 2020 at 10:51 am #564352Oh my God!! I just wrote 5000. It is all due to stress ((
March 5, 2020 at 11:07 am #564353i answered $30k but oh dear, it was a very challenging set of Qs

March 5, 2020 at 11:20 am #564359Does anyone know how to complain to ACCA about this via the ACCA portal – i had the same issues about scrolling and also not being able to view the scenario and question at the same time!!!
March 5, 2020 at 11:48 am #564363I ran out of time and didn’t get to answer the last 3 questions, so I am not holding any hope
🙁March 5, 2020 at 11:53 am #564365I also found it really hard to concentrate, some of the students seem to be taking all their aggression EVER on the keyboard. The person opposite me was opening sweet wrappers (don’t know how they got away with that), and one of the invigilators started messing around with paperwork and plastic pockets… if it’s allowed, next exam i’m going to wear ear plugs. The screens were so small also, trying to read the text on one side of the screen and read the question on the other side was a real pain to navigate, and even though i scrolled up and down, side to side, the exam wouldn’t let me move question, without having to over emphasise scrolling 🙁
Wasn’t happy with the experience at all!March 5, 2020 at 11:57 am #564366@khilen said:
