    I think the key to the link theory is that, once you log in you have passed and is now an affiliate, but even if you see the error message there is still a chance that you have passed. I am wondering if those who saw the error message and still passed hadn’t completed their professional ethics module..

    I got an error message as well but still passed and I completed my Ethics module last year so I don’t believe in this link theory.

    Failed @49, started in Dec 16, second attempt, should I go to administrative review, does anyone ever got 1 mark from review, just wondering? Really disappointed with the mark. Help anyone?
    Thanks in advance

    Sorry you missed out on a pass by one mark. I know it hurts as I experienced it twice and contemplated admin review but was advised strongly against it as I was told ACCA do checks on all marks to ensure they are correct and my understanding is your paper was probably was checked by different people and if they all agreed to give you the 49%, going for admin review will not give you the result you wish, you will be wasting your money!

    My advice is to probably change your exam technique and do as much of the past papers as you can to help build up on the knowledge you already have.

    Best wishes, hope you make it next time.

    Learn and revise all accounting and auditing standards and do as many past exam question as possible. And while doing practice, try to explain every point you make.

    I went for three first attempts to try and complete the qualification:
    P2 – passed 66%;
    P5 – failed 45%; and
    P7 – passed 73%.

    P5 just had to spoil the party!

    Time management is key in P7. It is very easy to get bogged down with Q1 and write for hours! I would suggest that anyone retaking thinks about doing section B questions first and then attempting section A. I used this approach for P2 where i was told by my lecturer to do Section B FIRST and then go to Section A and it worked quite well.

    Passed P7 in my second attempt. I failed in Dec-16 coz of poor exam technique though the exam was fair. What i mean by exam technique is try doing all questions and don’t write too much. It’s very easy to over write when you know the syllabus that’s what happened with me in Dec-16. We had business risks and I spent too much and in the end only managed to do around 65% of the exam got 43%.

    But this time around my aim was to attempt all the questions which i did but still only managed to attempt 80% of the exam.

    Another thing folks go over Accounting standards especially Non-current assets > IAS16 PPE, IAS 36 Impairment, IAS37 Provisions, IAS38 IA R & D, IAS17 Leases, IFRS2 Share based payments, IAS21 Foreign Currency, etc

    Honestly folks this exam is not that touch you just need good exam technique.

    Hope this helps
