sorry to hear that. my guess is that you did not answer the questions properly. there is a difference between that and writing excellently about something the examiner was not looking for.
good luck on the resit.
I have just passed with 57 and my advice is score highly in Q1 & 2. review all past questions.
April 19, 2016 at 1:40 pm #311689My advice is score highly in all 4 questions that you attempt!
April 19, 2016 at 1:58 pm #311694Passed with 63 first attempt. One to go
April 19, 2016 at 4:14 pm #311730Thank you for your advise. P7 is my last paper,
April 20, 2016 at 10:58 am #311871passed with 67%. All praises to God.
My advice is simply pass exam questions. I used the BPP revision kit and i firstly did all the questions from 2011 onwards as i felt those to be most relevant and everyday i did one question from each of the 4 sections in the kit. That way you continually are covering different areas of the syllabus every day.
I also suggest not over complicating or over thinking the exam, write the obvious. It’s very easy to over complicate the scenario and you end up missing the easy stuff. You will see that the answers in book state the simple things and the complicate things as well. You’re not going to match their answers on the day so get all easy ones and a few hard ones and you pass the question.
Also start with section A and use the reading time to totally understand q1 scenario and annotating where all the AR or ROMM are(whatever the question states).
Q2 scenario is generally shorter so you should be able to read through that and annotate it as well within the reading time.
Then skim 3 to 5 but if you run out of reading time, leave them and start writing q1.Lastly, don’t just highlight everything, annotate so you know exactly where to look when answering the question.
April 20, 2016 at 12:50 pm #311891Passed with 52%

My advice, never give up consistency is the secret and knowing exam technique and answering the question requirement
P7 is a time pressured paper so from the word go speed should apply but of course with understanding of the question requirementApril 20, 2016 at 5:42 pm #311936AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Hi, Sorry to hear that. I must have written this paper more than you or even than most on this forum! But passed this last sitting – Glory be to God Almighty.
I finally realised I spent so much time on Q1 and then rushed over the last questions. SO i decided for once to change my strategy and do the optional questions first, after which I passed. Also, make sure you dont write too much for a mark. Go directly to the point to earn your mark. Also in ethics question , dont just state stuff like it is a familiarity threat. Go on to also say that an auditor with such a close relationship will be less likely to be objective in such situations etc.
