71% on first attempt in P7 before attempting P2. So I disagree with people who say you first do P2 before P7. It’s just a matter of experience and effort you put to study. Just a matter of being good with Accounting and audit standards + ethics

Passed on third attempt. Thanks to Mike for the lectures and advice on ‘ask tutor’, although never directly asked questions they are littered with helpful tips, especially how to approach the exam.

In terms of study, practice as many questions as possible, have a good grasp of accounting standards and be disciplined with time allocation per marks in the exam.

    Thank-you Mike 🙂

shattered totally disappointed failed it at 44% despite the fact that audit was my favorite subject and i attempted the whole paper. and ironic thing is that the trouble makers P2 and P4 which scared me the most in this attempt i passed both of them quite comfortably. I could have been an affiliate today had it not been for this mishap by my favorite subject i really feel like crying.

Thanks, ginette, I was under such a time pressure, even forgot to write conclusion in question 1, that could be my 2 marks….

I don’t know much about how they mark the exam but I wouldn’t beat yourself up over missing the conclusion. I think they keep some ‘professional’ marks for discretion and I don’t think they’d mark you down to a fail for missing a conclusion. Take the positive that you are, based on that result, 96% of the way to a pass and will surely get it next time!

My technique was simply question practice. I bought revision kit from BPP and I just did (nearly all) the questions in there in bullet point form. Took about 2 hours per day for about 6 weeks. Passed with 62.

I’d say it really helps to be taking P2 or to have passed it because having knowledge of the standards is very important.

Top tip for people who are resitting… Read the question and answer bank, read it again then practice the questions. You will soon see a pattern of what the marker is after. Worked for me 2nd time round!
