    Hi Mike,

I have Kaplan text and exam kit valid from Sept 16 to June 2017.

Would these books still be fine for studying?

I’m starting my studies today to take the exam in June 2018.

Do you think 8 weeks is enough time and do you have any suggestions for a study plan?

    Thanks

    Roshan

“Would these books still be fine for studying?”

They are certainly fine for the June 2018 exams

“Do you think 8 weeks is enough time?”

I can’t answer that! I don’t know what other demands there are on your time nor how motivated you are and whether or not you can absorb the material quickly (or are you a plodder?)

” and do you have any suggestions for a study plan?”

    I can’t answer that either!

I tend to advise that students set aside their study texts are read, read and read again and again the printed questions and answers from a revision kit by a reputable publisher

That, and watch the lectures, read the course notes (2 hours from start to finish if you just read them which is what I am suggesting), read the examiner’s reports from the last 3 years, read the last 10 technical articles but, most of all, keep reading those questions and answers from the revision kit

And when you’ve read through them twice, read through them a third time

Finally, 2 weeks before the exam, post again on this forum and I’ll give the the second and final part of the advice on how I believe a student should prepare for success in the Advanced Adit and Assurance paper

    OK?
