August 8, 2014 at 11:41 am #188416Fail with 48 my fourth attempt.am debating to change to p6 .confused
August 8, 2014 at 12:38 pm #188458Gosh i only passed with 50%. My final exam and ridiculously one mark made the difference. So glad, i am now an ACCA affiliate and all passed at first attempt too (nice bonus).
Previously my lowest mark was 62% so this was a shock but makes me feel even more lucky to have it all done with.
Congrats to all who passed and keep going and work harder to those who didn’t.

39, this was my first attemp.I am really interested by the advices on how overcome the P-level papers.
I passed all the F-level papers (F1 to F9) on first attemp except F4 that passed the 2nd time.
Since I am on P-level, I only passed P1 (52) on 2nd time. My scores for the others are P2(33); P3 (47, 46, 29); P7(39).
May be it is because english is not my 1st language. I am really thinking now to take only one paper per sitting to really concentrate. For sure in Dec 2014, I will only chose P2.Do not hesitate to advise.
I really think the best way for you to pass is to do one at a time. The exams are not easy and a lot of people think they will finish faster by taking 2 or 3 at a time. I would say on average this is likely the wrong approach as many of them fail at least one. It also seems a much more costly method due to the multiple fails. It only makes sense to do multiple exams if you are not working and studying full time or the company you are employed at has a time limit on how long you can pass.
PS i passed all my exams first attempt by taking one at a time so i’m talking from experience. I worked full time all through this period and took all of them by self-study except P6 (due to changes in rules & codes). Good luck for future exams

i failed with 43% and i belief next time will be better for all those that fail.
August 8, 2014 at 2:17 pm #18851855% Thank God, one more to go P5
August 8, 2014 at 2:45 pm #188524BIG congrats to all who have passed, well deserved!!!!
To those who haven’t quite made it, we will get there next time INSHALLAH (God willing).
On a personal note, I’ll probably need a change of approach with this paper as clearly cramming for a week prior to the exam doesn’t work for P7 like it has for all the others. After 46% on my 1st attempt (having completed 80% of the paper), I was anticipating quite a high mark this time around and ended with 41%. I’m obviously going wrong somewhere.
Any study tips passers?

Passed on third attempt! Having passed all other papers first time, I struggled with P7. For the last exam sitting, I didn’t read the study text, just practised question after question and planned all of my answers. I think this is the key to getting through this one!!
August 8, 2014 at 4:09 pm #188556got 48%, well better luck next time for us who didn’t make it

passed 1st attempt – 62!
if anyone needs some materials – unfortunately these are ok up to June 2014, but if you update these for some necessary changes in ias, isas, ifrs… it should be ok
dollissima3@gmail.comcongrats to those that passed and good luck to those who still have to give it a go.
It’s a challenging exam, passed best if you have all too many things on your mind…
take one of the optionals at a time, it’s the best way to deal with them, there are only 2, so not such a waste of time.
August 8, 2014 at 9:09 pm #188699Pass first time with 55% finally an affiliate. Thank God

I think that yuo firdtly need to change your mind, becoz p level us very demanding than f level, the marks would be given for “making your own point”rather than showing knowledge, I did P3 7 times & P7 5 times my usual score is over 40 but less than 50, this time I toke a QBD course from kaplan & attended the ACCA webbenner, I realized that my mistakes are technical rather than lack of knowledge, my advise to is to work deeply in qestions practice & attempted past papers, as well as having revision course”if possible”, wthether you will set one by one or multi-papers/session is your entire decision depending in your time & study method
