I said that there was a degrouping charge for strategy A as it’s six years from the year end that the sale of the asset takes place. Therefore the 17 June was within six years of 30 June…. and the one in July for strategy B was after.
Question one was really hard though and I think it may have cost me the paper. Question 2 was nice and I chose 3 and 4 which were okay. Though I think it was 4 that had a large amount of marks for quite a vague question.
I felt the most prepared I have done for this paper so I am crossing my fingers I may have finally got it
Q1 was a disaster I kept reading part b over and over and couldn’t figure what’s the requirement! The other questions were doable.
Does any one remember the marks allocation for q2,q3 & q4??? I recall for q1 it was 6,3.5,9.5,7,5 & 4 marks for professional marks.- Topics: 0

Did anyone state 20/20 rule for the land disposal in Q2 for the disposal of 1 acre? Maybe I was clutching at straws but no CGT on the disposal of 1 acre???

It was so confusing as star transferred the asset in may 2010 but either disposal meant greater than 6 years as June 2017 and August 2017, they really threw the books at us in Q1, part B was impossible to answer!
By third attempt and really through me the first question I even went back to it and didn’t get it so I feel a failin sight
Did q3 and q4 ok and found question 2 ok but feel like I know the rules but examiner tricking us. He doesn’t help that they publish your last paper either you failed- Topics: 0

Our client was H limited not L limited group let’s suppose even there was degrouping charge this is not our concern and D grouping charge was covered by SSE simple .

I’m sitting for P6 (MYS) variant paper this coming June. May I know what study text and materials do you guys used? I would really appreciate it if you can share some guidelines to me on how to prepare for this paper. As I’m self-studying, I’m totally clueless on how to get prepared for it =(
