Passed and praised to the Lord God Almighty whom I serve, only his Grace was poured out and I passed just enough to finish 50%, it was a long journey and sometimes a painful one, but my morning has come, I now see the light I am now an Affiliate. Thank you Yeshua, my Lord.

    Hi Shotop,

Thanks for your response. I really cannot understand the difficulty in drafting a letter, in line with your Tax manager’s instructions, concerning the tax affairs of Mr. Wolfe, nor the identification of his interests, as controlling 58%, alongside the 10.5 (x4) others.

If memory serves me right, question 2 sought to evaluate the reliefs available to another client, who had made investments in EIS and SEIS qualifying companies, £90’000 in the former. With liabilities outstanding, the 30% and 50% investment values would reduce his liabilities.

Even the identification of potential penalties of up to £50’000 for the firm, if we negligently enabled the under-reporting of the foreign incomes of the client.

Dis-incorporation relief is not difficult, nor the evaluation of options for an employee who could either earn 15’000 with benefits, or offer service through PSC, whilst taking dividends from profits. NIC calculation is not difficult either. Don’t forget the availability of the payroll relief.

The summary of my assessment is that, Business Education, is business, and in view of the simplicity of the exam, and lower pass rate outcomes, one cannot fail to draw a hypothesis here:

    – Students are holding up the association, regardless of practice licence fees, because, many accountants are getting out of practice anyway.Highlight is the PWC report on fading role of the modern accountant.

-The psychological game of lower pass rates, in culminating years, coupled with more exam dates per year indicates students as cash cows.

-ACCA only really is prominent in EMEA market, some markets as Australia have employers being rigid as per employment for ACCA holders. American market and CPA bodies do not recognize ACCA with little exemptions.

    – The lower pass rates only spurs one to want qualification, thus throwing more cash at the objective. Surely, being ACCA qualified is no guarantee of success in life.
Its not Chemistry or Physics, which is more difficult, is it?

-Algorithms are usurping the decision making, with big data analysed by fast systems.
-COO are more in demand than CFO’s, with multi-talented persons,

So, it’s a no brainer to control final pass rates, if the profession is seemingly going down.

Really thought I have passed P6, Irish variant,
The questions were easy in Dec 15.
    Still don’t know how I failed it@47
Can the results be wrong sometimes, I wonder
Can’t get over it, but no choice to do it again in June. We don’t have 4 sitting in Ireland:(

I passed with 52%. Last June I got 49%. I studied for 4 more months, took a revision course ans also answered the questions a lot better than last time and all for an extra 3%. I’m delighted to pass but I have to question the marking as I believe I should have got about 15% more than my last attempt.

Passed P6 (UK) at the first attempt 🙂 I studied for 1.5 months almost full time, thanks to my previous taxation related work experience (non-UK tax though) and to those who is still struggling with P6 UK taxation, BPP online classroom is very helpful. Good luck!

Finally all exams are over. Final exam P6 with 63% first attempt. Not great achievement but pass is a pass and no more study. Time to enjoy the weekends . Has been long 3.5 years journey of working and studying .
Congratulations to everyone. Passing exam is hard but the feeling is amazing.
To those who are still studying, I wish them not to give up as there is an end and it is worthwhile .

would anyone spare some advice on passing p6 please? im struggling to manage the sheer volume of knowledge required from the syllabus. It’s by far, the one exam with the most topics. most importantly, during exam practice, i can honestly say i never attempted a single question without looking at the answer on the back. this was probably becuase in some cases the requirments were to vague, so never was sure where to start.
besides, i never did f6 as i got exempted through my degree over 6 to 7 years ago! as a result i spent most of the time trying to learn the basics instead of getting up to scratch with advanced requirements.
