Sorry for this , dont give up you are almost there, i dont know how many subjects you are left with and the period left for you. have a break and write in March 2017, Go back to the basics, study F5 alongside p5, read the notes page after page for knowledge then past paper revisions, put yourself in exams scenario when practicing three hours papers and learn to manage time pressure, you will make it.Remove the negativity towards the paper. my first attempt i was given 49% i was broken down but i picked myself i have passed now with 65%.

I was failed my P5 for 10 attempts, sitting this paper since 2012.I was failed with 45 to 47 marks from 1st attempt until this sitting of September 2016. of course my heart was broken many times and try to not giving up. P5 is my LAST paper to complete my ACCA. I was putting a lot of effort on this paper but still fail. I was looking forward to pass P5 which is last paper since 2014, Unfortunately, I still can’t meet my aim to become an affiliate. Hence, I decided to give up from today.

I’ve passed on the 11th attempt 🙂 Same case as yours, however I took a break and re-attempt it again focusing on exam techniques and watching webinars /videos on past exams. Give up today and back up again tomorrow ya 🙂

I have been sitting for P5 since 2011, the only last paper giving me headache. It is so disheartening after putting in my level best.

Failed for 7th times..I’m giving up

    Thomas1991,

Please please please please don’t give up buddy like the others said if you give up now it will be your worst regret in life…
I know it’s easier said than done it’s sooo heart breaking & tempting to give up but please don’t mate ! it must be your last or second last paper.. please don’t give up please ……

I had to sit P2 5 times to pass it’s not like I hated it cos really liked studying P2 it’s just wasn’t the time until 5th attempt!!
don’t ask me how many times I had to do my driving test cos I can’t mind meself… I was a good driver or so my instructor said but at the test my nerves got the best of me & I would do something stupid which I’ve never done even in my first day of behind the wheel & you know the rest FAIL !!! was soo frustrated was gonna give up but the amazing people around me didn’t let me give up and i’m ever so grateful for them for that.

it was an inexplicable feeling when I finally passed it felt like achieved something huge it was not about passing the test it was about not giving up & fighting back!!

I would like to refer to a couple my favourite quotes

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall”

“It’s always seems impossible until it’s done”

    -Nelson Mandela-

Not sure how familiar you are with TED Talk watch this if you could spare 12 mins.

    https://www.ted.com/talks/isaac_lidsky_what_reality_are_you_creating_for_yourself

Hope you change your mind and the very best of luck for your next sitting to be your lucky day!
    Take care

    Lana
PS I failed P7 today although this was my first attempt it still stings

It must be soooo hard for you I know it’s easier said than done but please please don’t give up. probably giving advice will annoy you than do any good but you know we’ve got to try it’s really heart breaking for us to see our co student in pain & giving up.

so as you’ve decided to give up ..you need a new hobby … why not study this paper for fun ? if possible don’t tell anyone you’re sitting / studying for this exam. study in your own pace don’t put any pressure on you .. you know ? you’ve given up so you don’t have to pass but just doing it for fun ?
may be set a target like this is my hobby for a full year from today if you pass before then fine you can pick a new hobby.
sorry to be blabbering but I don’t really want you to give up !!
please don’t give up please think about the time money & effort you’ve put in this qualification .. please don’t let this put you off.. it’ll be worth it – will pay off in general & monetary terms.
you know the salary diff between PQ & newly qualified/ qualified right?

Please please please don’t give up

Vey best luck for the next sitting ! hope & pray for you to be affiliate end of Jan-17
(yes you don’t have a choice you have to do it cos I say so ? please……………..? )

Dont give up. I failed the exam twice before and this time around I actually read the question thoroughly to ensure that I understood what the examiner was asking before answering it. Like a few people have said maybe you should change your exam techniques around but be sure you understand the question being asked. Good Luck!

    Passed 57% on p5 (4th attempt!) after getting 3 mid 40’s and 73% on p4 (2nd attempt) and 38% on first.

Read every single question in bpp book and attempted about 80% with about a week before exam to focus on my weaker areas.

    Paid off and now affiliate!

Passed 50% first attempt and last exam. It has been extremely hard work, and to those who did not pass this time – best of luck and keep working hard.

Hello to everyone. I have finally completed my ACCA passing P5 on my third attempt. It was a challenging journey working and studying not attending any lectures. The resources I used was my study text, technical articles and study notes from open tuition. So really if I can do it so can you never give up and keep praying and perceive your goals.

I have completed my ACCA in two years failing P5 of which passed upon my third attempt. Therefore believe in yourself and be positive thus all your battles will be conquered.

Thank you opentution for providing us with constructive study materials its a great help.

    Best of luck to all..
