Don’t give up i failed for 8 times, finally made it this round. This round revision i mainly focus on past yr papers (i did 7 set of papers + 3 set for self-mock exam), and try to understand why the examiner give such answer, how it link to case ? and question ?
example if examiner answer is “A” , which part of case study is he refer to? and why he said so ?

if you did it 5 set of papers by heart, u will find it other set of papers examiner is repeating the case and same answer.

First attempt failed… 46%… I believed I was ready for the test as I had gone through the whole book with a thorough understanding of the topics. I also did numerous groupworks and mock examination as I had plenty of time to go through the content. These mechanisms have worked well for P4 and all the other 12 papers but somehow proving difficult for P5. Please help with any useful tips I can add before I resit in September. Plus I’m tempted to do a remark… Any advice on this?

2nd attempt. Passed with 57 marks. First attempt was about 45 if I am not mistaken.

    What I did differently:
    1) Attempted all sections of the questions. I only attempted two questions the last time round. Very important to make an attempt for all. It really boosts your chances.
    2) FINALLY I took time management seriously and forced myself to move on to the next question when I was going beyond the time I had allocated for that question.
    3) In my revision this time round I placed focus on understanding the requirements of the question and subsequently answering the question concisely. Previously I focused too much on studying the material and then trying to regurgitate information.
    4) Read the more recent ACCA student articles for the topic.

I also had my self-made notes from my previous attempt at P5 in Dec 2015. So I could just revise the material and focus more on practising questions.

Never give up freind I passed on 4th attempt with 61..what I did was I have attended all webinars on exam techniques, tried to apply same, tried to manage my time, covered all areas of the questions…the least I prepared is this 4th attempt but tried every care and apply the exam techniques…on 3rd attempt, i got 49 and that was a very painful fail for me in all my ACCA experience but that gave me the encouragement to revisit my approach.. give it another chance and you will make it…Good luck!!!

P4 and P5, 1.5 month afterwork + weekend self-study, one session, first attempt, both passed, 59 and 58. Now this 3-year journey has come to an end. Hard work eventually pays off. Proud of myself. All the best to the fellow students who are still on their way to the finish line! Never lose focus and confidence!
