Just to let you know that theory thing was absolute bollocks for me as I managed to get 54. Anyway congrats
April 17, 2017 at 5:22 am #38186362 Passed!!. first time . This open tuition community has been immensely helpful up until the march 2017 countdown forum too.
was very sceptical of the link theory. although still not sure if it was mere coincidence or not. but anyways. really happy.
i must say having such a tough and unique paper i really didnt expect such a score. i have been a so-so student through acca so this is a big achievement for me and this was possible only because of Mr Johns basic advice:
– do the kit cover to cover 3/4 times
-understand the basic
– wastch the opention lectures.SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR!!!!!!
April 17, 2017 at 5:52 am #381875I want to attempt for the first time P4. How you studied?? From where I should start..suggest plz…tinaboy
April 17, 2017 at 6:12 am #381889Congrats to all those who passed.
I’m even more embarrassed to admit that I failed P4-after 4th attempt now. I performed worse than my December exam. I failed 31% March from 40% December. I honestly do not know what to do next.April 17, 2017 at 6:13 am #381890What is the link theory?
April 17, 2017 at 6:17 am #381893What’s that link theory? any info abt dat??

All the way through the countdown forum, I tried to keep the moral high of our colleagues who couldnt get past through the link. Sound as, our batch has made the “link theory” spreaded through to every single student. The next time around guess that will be the only topic of discussion. Silly me to put that out there on day 1 of the forum. Lol well if not me, sooner or later someone could have brought it up. All the best for the future and enjoy the moment 🙂

I tried to send you an email this morning right after I got my text from acca but it didn’t get delivered at all for some reason. Yes mate I made it as well and that link theory was an absolute bollocks.
Thanks for keeping me stay put when I felt that I couldn’t make it mate. You are a true hero for me.
Cheers man and hope to grab a couple of pints with you sooner or later.April 17, 2017 at 7:03 am #381908AnonymousInactive- Topics: 2

My sincere Thanks for Open Tution, You are very great people and very useful for self study students.
This is my third attempt for P4 and pass at 50 marks. But my effort to study not enough to pass ACCA professional papers due to full time work.
My special thanks for P4 lecturer. The lecturer video and tutorial notes are excellent. He teaches all the video clips with extraordinary talent. Nobody cannot explain the way he explain the topics on each chapter.
once again my thanks for all open tution team and your intention to provide this excellent services with free of charge.April 17, 2017 at 7:21 am #381916I have also failed. 😮

52% !! Second attempt. Truly thought I’d failed this one and passed P7 but turned out to be the other way around. However, really didn’t want to take this one again so very happy. One exam to go.
If you didn’t pass this time, keep going and be encouraged, you can do it!!
Now need to dig out P7 material again…

Abdelbagi2004,
Don’t give up my dear, you can make it. Success is not only passing or being successful at what you want to do, success is also ability to continue in the face of failure until you get what you want.
Tell yourself, I can make it. You have June to write so, do it and it will be will with you. God is your side.
Rise up and face it, you can do it. Yes you can.
God bless you.

You’ve obviously got a lot of the basic knowledge having done it 5 times so stick to past papers and see how the examiner structures the answer.
Also, in the exam I answered the smaller questions first and got them out the way so I could then focus on the big questions.
Still didn’t get a great mark but it was enough. This exam was tough with none of the major topics being covered, but probably means they’ll be in it next time.

Abdelbagi2004,
I know your pain and share your concern. The expiry will give you some options l learnt.
Giving up is not the solution my dear. You have come too far to give up.
Pls, this is my address. email me lets talk, ok. samsboadu@yahoo.com
This is definitely a way out of this situation. I know for sure God will help you.
Rise up, shake yourself of the challenges and lets move together.
I have said time and time again that this is not LIFE and DEATH situation even though its painful to fail ACCA exams. Beyond ACCA, God has a bigger plan for your life.
Yes, your destiny is not “REALLY” tied to your success in ACCA even though it is good to have ACCA qualification. Life still goes on my dear.
I know you will make next sitting because God wants you to make it.

Almosthome,
Pls, don’t give up. You can make it.
Rise up and put the failure behind you and look ahead.
Read and you will know that great people who have been successful failed in their field of endeavour many times.
The difference between a successful person and failed person is that while a failed person gives up along the way, a successful person will refuse to give up and will be motivated to try again.
Almosthome, try again and I can assure you that you will also smile.
God wants you to pass and you will pass if you try again.
It is well.

Thank you for such reassuring words. I’ve been at a loss for words since the receiving the results but I will pick myself up once more and try again. I’ll take solace in passing p7, at least thats one out of the way 🙂

Passed P4 with 50% 3rd attempt. I never expect that I can pass! Now I am finally an affiliate! Thanks to open tuition materials and video sharing !

Congratz all who passed! I’m delighted to see that the majority of the results countdown topic posters passed and became affiliates! It was a tough week with all kind of theories on who passed and who didn’t, but in the end it seems good news for nearly everyone.Funnily, I’m kind of sad that this two-year long journey ended. No more tension and sleepless nights before exams, no more after-exam beer (that tastes the best), no more anxious result countdown days. I’m starting to cherish all these moments and treasure the memories.
Alk of you who didn’t pass this time: don’t give up, failing is part of the road, and also a valuable lesson from ACCA, they let you taste the life of any professional, because there will be times when you give your maximum but due to the circumstances you still fail. It will be OK next time, I’m sure!
P4 is a very enjoyable paper, not an easy syllabus, but very useful and helpful if you’re into finance. I became an M&A advisor even before starting ACCA, but still think this paper attributed additional layers to my knowledge even after 4+ years of practical experience.
And last, but not least, I would like to shout a thank you to OT lecturers, notes authors and the community as a whole, you were all a big help along the journey.
Well said Kairong and I agree with you completely.
