I am Very Happy! Glory to GOD! Jesus you are my strength! Pass Pass Pass!! One more to GO!!!!!!!!! P4
October 17, 2016 at 5:48 am #343800I have passed P3 on 1st attempt!!!! Glory to Jesus!!!! Its my first ACCA paper to pass on 1st attempt. I got 51%. I did self study and depended on OT video lectures by Sir Ken and OT notes only, then did past paper questions. Thank you soooo much Mr Ken Garret, you made this possible for me. Your explanations were very clear and I loved your examples. Thank you so so so much. My advise to those taking P3 in Dec,its very very important to do past paper questions. You can have all the knowledge about a paper but fail to answer questions in an appropriate manner. All the best. And for those who haven’t made it,don’t give up,success awaits you. Now i have two more papers to go and i will be an affliate. P4 in Dec and P7 in March. And I am going to do self study for both still using OT material. Thanks OT!!!!!
October 17, 2016 at 5:51 am #343805unlucky day for me.
October 17, 2016 at 6:05 am #343814Passed with 60% on my second attempt. Whew. A real relief – been waiting since 8am for the notification email but haven’t received it till now (1pm). Went to the Acca exam results page (not myacca) and accessed my result within 1 min! Didn’t even look at the grade, just saw “Pass” and felt my breath return to my body. Whew. Thank God.
Now 2 more papers left!!
October 17, 2016 at 6:50 am #343848I failed with 46% ,third attempt. 🙁 Topics were very very easy, I messed up with time management due to lengthy questions.
October 17, 2016 at 6:53 am #343852Can someone tell me how the hell I could pass this paper? I have the knowledge but it seems I keep messing up because of panicking in the exam and time management.
Before anyone asks, I ONLY practised past papers by reading them with the answers over and over again as I work full time and I am a single mum so I had no time to practise under time pressure.
Any advice? Shall I quit my job and go on benefits to have all the time in the world to practise? 🙁
October 17, 2016 at 6:53 am #343853cant believe! I got 62 in P3 and my friend got 66! thanks for the lecture in open tuition

October 17, 2016 at 7:29 am #343896Passed P3 60% thank you Lord Jesus Christ!
October 17, 2016 at 7:55 am #343923Passed first time with self study both P1 and P3.
73% for P3 is such a great feeling – thought i had done well but then only having time to do bullet points for the last questions had me worried!
For those that passed congratulations for those that didn’t quite make it keep believing, you can do it!
October 17, 2016 at 8:55 am #344020Congrate Tom I have to resit P3 and will also sit P1. How was the work load of this combo?
October 17, 2016 at 9:16 am #344051Ztalane – i worked more on P3 than P1 , but i do think they have transferable knowledge that i useed in both exams.
The best ways i found to study P3 was to constantly look at not just text book examples but ones i could relate to in real life and make them examples my way of learning topics.
-P1 – as i say i only spent a couple of days revising as i felt it was one that should be common sense (no disrespect to anybody not passing this exam) and again i just read through open tuition lectures – and tried to remember the word play the tutor mentioned.
hope that helps but let me know if not
October 17, 2016 at 9:23 am #344059Congrates

October 17, 2016 at 10:02 am #344106P3, 36% I can’t believe this.so demoralised.
October 17, 2016 at 10:22 am #344126Hi Ds3ce. I have passed on the 4th attempt. Had developed a phobia whenever i see the question paper. I used to read question papers with answers and it never worked. When you have failed a number of times like that, i would advise that you attempt question papers under exam conditions which is what i did and then engage a tutor to mark your papers and assist you through out the process. I would advise that you also approach it with an open mind, forget all the other failed attempts otherwise you this whole process will be overwhelming emotionally as there are chances you will fail a few papers at first but you do not have to give up. Good Luck!!
October 17, 2016 at 10:28 am #344130Hi,
Working full time should not be a problem in your way to achieve a pass in this paper however I could understand the workload you might have to deal with everyday as a single mom.
I am a father myself of a 1 year old and look after him 2 designated days a week off work days I also work full time on other days.
I have passed this paper with 76% today its very straightforward just work through all the questions in BPP Kit try not to learn them but to understand them 6-7 hours per week are more than enough in my opinion. You don’t have to be scientist to pass this examination but a little bit of open mindedness about the topics and common sense will take you a long step forward.
Do not forget to write the mock exams at the end of this exam kit. even if you just read the answers try to relate the topics with the underlying logic you don’t have to read thetext book in doing so but BPP passwords or opentution short notes will do.
In the last I would suggest you next time do not panic in the exam hall.
It was technically my third attempt for this exam first two attempts I couldn’t make it to the exam hall because of various circumstances and this time around when I was writing this exam for the first time I couldn’t keep track of the time I spent more than 2 hours and 30 min in my first question I only realised when the guy announced only 1 hour is left I wrapped up quickly and make short punchy paragraphs in my attempt to write the answers for other two optional questions. I couldn’t even had enough time to read through all the scenario but I did read the requirements fully and answered just as precisely and it all because I had practices all the questions from BPP kit. Point is worst come worst happen don’t panic during the exam session when u don’t panic in a stressful session your brain start to activate your left hemisphere which contains a lot of skills and other things you don’t even aware of. This may be just a thing with me but it helps me a lot P3 is very little thing actually you could pass any paper in this world with this strategy. But prerequisite to this is that you have your points clearly in the back of your mind because confusion arises when you have not picked up the underlying logic behind the answers in your BPP kit answers.
Thanks hope it will work for you next time around best of luck.October 17, 2016 at 10:39 am #34413963 marks. Self study. First attempt. Did not attempt 12 marks question as took too long on question 1. Considering this very pleased with results 🙂

51% all about the Pass
October 17, 2016 at 12:29 pm #344218@Florence: Thank you. It’s hard enough as it is to be a single mother to a 7-year old and juggle a full-time job with ACCA and no help. I just can’t help but cry to let this pressure out. :'( Topics were so easy, I messed up on time management big time. I feel like I am a big failure. I know my exam technique is the issue. I will somehow have to attempt questions without looking at the answers under time pressure and then mark it myself by comparing it to the tutor’s answers. Unfortunately as a single parent I can’t afford to have a tutor to mark it for me, hence why I am doing self study using BPP books and exam kit plus Opentuition lecture notes, flash cards and lecture videos.
October 17, 2016 at 12:36 pm #344225@bilalahmad99 Thank you. Theory/Knowledge is definitely not the issue, it’s more my exam technique, time management, (and panicking, getting confused after some time) etc.
October 17, 2016 at 12:56 pm #34423147% pass rate. Well done to everyone that passed.
