April 16, 2018 at 9:06 am #447214Passed with 71%, first attempt and self-study.
Dino’s webinar was great.
Only P7 to go in June.April 16, 2018 at 9:13 am #446949Passed 56 marks with 5th attempt.I’m ACCA Affiliate now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. studied with BPP
2,3,4 used Kaplan
3. bought used PWC academy materials and LSBF revision KIT. Done all questions. My exam strategy was – Try Q2 and Q3 first and then Q1.
Otherwise you run out of time and strugle to catch up with some marks.Be calm, write something if you doubt (do not leave black page), do not try to impress examiner with complex answer (use simple solutions to his problems).
And you will succeed.
Best luck to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!April 16, 2018 at 9:16 am #447239Passed 57% – 2nd attempt, (1st was 45%) to sam200tech: I have attempted revision Webex organised by ACCA, there is also a revision guide in ACCA global home page and went through all past exam papers.

First attempt …. Failed with 46%
Any suggestions on how to up my study ???Hi Sam,
Before the exam I used the Dino and SKANS Online Excel Webinars, OT Lectures and practised past questions.
During the exam I did a 25 mark question first, Q1 second and the final question, to keep me calm. With Q1 I worked backwards, starting with (d) and finishing with (a) so that I could get the easy marks. Finally my policy was: “if you write nothing, you get no marks”. I kept writing, hopping between questions, until the exam ended.
I used this approach for this paper and, to my surprise and relief, I passed. Keep on trying. There’s still time to pass in June.
All the best!
April 16, 2018 at 10:43 am #447323Passed P3 ,first attempt 54%.
Was able to crack because of Prof. Dino’s Webinars & lots of question practice.April 16, 2018 at 10:53 am #447328Time management is the key to this paper. You must PLAN your answers before writing anything – spend 30-50 minutes doing this. Then calculate the remaining time, divide by 100 and that gives you the remaining minutes per mark.
DO NOT go over this time for any individual question part. You MUST answer every single question part to give yourself the best chance of passing.
So many times on this forum students post that “I only did 2 questions” or “I only had 20 minutes left for my third question”
If you study well and have the knowledge you need, and answer every question part with a decent attempt (decent, NOT perfect) you give yourself the best possible chance of passing.

Thanks, I had never heard of Dino until this morning. Think I need to put the head down and do a lot more questions. I had expected a lower mark of 46% but now that I got the 46% I’m sick that I didn’t get the paper finished and could have got marks elsewhere.
