    Hi All

    Congrats on passing.
I wanted to ask how you prepared for the exams, how you revised, which study materials you used.
How you studied for IAS standards?

Did you go through study text and past papers, if so how many times did you go through them, also how many hours were you putting in during weekdays (while working also? and weekends?

What methods you used for studing and anything else you would think that would be relevant.

Please reply back, it would be much appeciated.
I await you reply, many thanks in advance.

If it makes the people who didn’t pass feel better I failed this exam 5 times before – so I know the pain!

I passed it this time somehow..! But here are my tips

    1) Past papers/exam questions as many as poss..this helped me remember the standards and techniques much better than reading them
    2) Only use any BPP/Kaplan books for doing the small questions and reading around about how to do them – devote most of your time to practice answers
    3) Get Student Guide to IFRS by Clare Finch – really good at giving you the foundation of P2

Actually probably best to do these in reverse order

    4) The exam I passed was the first time I sat the international paper rather than UK – found I could just concentrate on core subjects

    Good luck!

    Passed with 67%.

Now P5 and P7 one month from today!!!

Can’t wait for this to be over – P2 was certainly a very challenging (and large) syllabus. Good luck to all who have to re-sit.
