January 18, 2016 at 6:59 pm #295961Passed 🙂 Together with P3! Last two exams :)))
I am so happy! No more ACCA exams!Congrats to all others who passed!
January 18, 2016 at 7:25 pm #295968Passed with 50% first time! Was going to give up when I failed P1 in Jun 15 as I didn’t think I was capable of passing the P papers, now with only 3 to go I realise you just need to keep trying, accept that failure happens and never give up. Sincere thanks to Mike and Opentuition as I wouldn’t be able to do this without your help and resources!
January 18, 2016 at 8:41 pm #295995In June 2015 I scored 45. This time I was quite confident to pass BUT scored 31. I can not accept it at all. I know it is wasting of money asking for admin review but I feel there is fundamental error ! I have applied for admin review. Lets see what they suggest. I know outcome may be nothing but I can not accept the score . If fail it is acceptable but 31 is too low for quality work.
January 18, 2016 at 9:29 pm #296009That is so true, there is a fundamental error, is ACCA taking our money or what, scored 42% last time and 43% this time. I’m so gutted and feeling really unhappy. Admin review wouldn’t help either, the last time I requested for one, what I received was the examiner general answers to the paper and nothing about my own paper…that’s another wasting of money.
January 18, 2016 at 10:47 pm #296030Zee,congrats. How did you do it.?
January 18, 2016 at 11:05 pm #29604050% 😀
January 19, 2016 at 12:26 am #296055Failed for the first time and my first P paper. However l’m trying to recharge my battery for March 16.
January 19, 2016 at 10:05 am #296199Past paper questions over and over, the same things come up regularly.
As soon as you recognize a standard in the exam, write about it, and then relate it to the question.
As this is your 3rd attempt, going through the textbook is pretty pointless….past papers all the way now

Hmm I’m sure there’s something you’re not telling us.Its not unrealistic, nor impossible.
I sat P2 in September. Did evening course the previous March and did my revision in July / August in the evening / weekend. This period also included a 10 day holiday.
Had only 1 day study leave (the Monday before the exam), and I scored even higher than Zee (over 80). Don’t ask me how I got that mark, but I did. Was one of those exams where almost everything went right.
I saw a LOT of 50% marks here. The examiner must have been very generous with those that were very close to the pass mark. Congratulations to all.

I sat corporate reporting twice – back then and did not have the opportunity to do it again as I’m unemployed for more than 72 months.
Opentuition has here the forum where I am able to connect with others and share, so I make use of information and keep current with issues. The past papers and practice kit questions will helps you to cement your knowledge as the scores received – suggest time management and organizational skills lacking.
Please take note of the approach – do the adjustments first with note to the effect on each item(s) you should adjust in the SoFP. It’s critical – DR income statement and Cr other component of equity – just an example properly recording the transaction. The entry is an expense to regular operation.
We may only lose five marks for not drafting the statements – we already indicate to the examiners the effects of the transactions on business financial reports.

January 19, 2016 at 5:58 pm #296360Passed with 50% too, for the last one. Thank god and opentuition.

I believe you have read enough of the text. Get a current exam kit and work through the past questions.
Kindly update yourself with the latest IFRS especially 9 and 15.
Understand the current debate on leases as a new standard on it will soon be issued.
Study past questions over and over again. And you must pass!

Dear Fellows, I enrolled ACCA back in 2000 when I was 20-21 years old. Studied like young, energetic but ordinary student and pass CAT in 2 years (at that time there was no computer based papers) and got exemption of ACCA Part – I and one paper of Part – 2. Then cleared all remaining 5 papers of Part – 2 in next 2 years. Only 2.6 Audit paper created a a lot of mess and appeared 3 times to clear it… at that time I went to London for completing ACCA but wasted my 3 years over there by not studying or failing 2.6 again an again.
By 2006 I cleared 2.6 and 3.4 (optional paper) and in 2007 the ACCA regulations has been changed and I got another 10 years to complete by ACCA. I again pushed hard myself to complete 4 remaining papers but due to my job, family and other uncontrollable factors I put ACCA aside and done my MBA on based of BSc. Oxford Brooks Degree.
In 2004, upon my return from abroad I joined Banking Sector as an internee and after lapse of 10 year i.e. in 2014 I planned to complete my remaining ACCA papers. All my friends told me not to waste money but few of them happy that I have a burning desire for getting ACCA.
So, I appeared in P1 & P3, both failed. Then decided to take one by one with no time for studies. First in 2014 Dec I pass P1, then June, 15 P3 and now By grace of Almighty Allah, I have cleared P2 in Dec,15 attempt.
All long story for those who are disappointed this time, please AIM, then work hard and leave the result over Creator of Universes. Be sincere with yourself.
Now, I am planning to take P7 in March,16. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I am Alhamdulillah, now a Assistant Vice President in one of the leading bank of Pakistan and one paper far from becoming ACCA Affiliate.
