Congrates Mariam.. 63 is very good number. what did u use as materials for P1. Can you share please

I used BPP study txt, & summarised what I considered as important, read a chapter to have an over view.
Where I discover that BPP text is being too wordy, I read opentuition summarised notes to get an idea.
In addition to this, I practiced using BPP revision kit

@abdelbagi2004, please keep on, never give up as you are almost through. I wish you strength, wisdom and determination to carry on. As they advise, focus on one material and do a lot of questions.

@abdelbagi2004 Unlucky. My personal recommendation if you’ve not already been doing this is, really study hard for the hot topics like IR, public sector governance, environmental risks etc. There’s no feeling like seeing a topic come up which you studied extra hard for.

I hope you all the best for your resit, don’t let this small obstacle let you down too much 🙂

A very late night/early morning but 62% so very happy. Like others – not too sure where they found 62 marks from but won’t argue!!

Happy Days and well done to all!

Failed with 40 only, and I though I’d passed it.
Knowledge seem to be not enough as I felt confident, but I have not practiced past exam papers due to lack of time which I think is where I gone wrong.
Never mind, March session will have to be the one!

Absolutely bombed this paper 🙁 35%! I knew I hadn’t done well, but that badly?! I did well in mocks and stuff, I think I just panicked as it was my first P Paper, and stuff I hadn’t really revised well came up. Oh well, roll on March!

First attempt Passed with 76% this was my most difficult exam to study cos it didn’t include any calculations. I only used opentuition notes and past questions. I expected to fail or at most get a 52 cos I lost my mum a day before the exam. So shocked yet happy with the outcome. P2 in march. Seriously thanks OT its been you all the way

My lecturer constantly said that knowledge alone isn’t enough that you have to be able to apply the knowledge to practical situations. He was great for telling anecdotal stories that showed how different topics were relevant to real world situations.

I thought I had completely messed up the exam since I only managed to finish about 75% of the paper but I managed to get 60%.

Don’t give up write it again.

A little tip to help you in your next attempt: APPLICATION.

That word helped me pass P1. Book knowledge in the exam is only about 30% and you’ll know when you see something like define, briefly describe, give differences, what are/is – it is usually the first phase of the question and two or three lines are enough to answer that question.

The APPLICATION aspect is always the second phase of the question and it is not what you have read from the study text. The answer is extracted from the scenario. This is where you draw marks. Take a question paper and look it: the first phase may say briefly describe………………, and the second phase may say discuss the advantages and disadvantages of ……………., now this part must be tailored to the scenario not the lists that may have been given in the study text. Therefore practice and understand the questions and the question verbs.

    this is completely true,
the knowledge required in the exam was too easy for me and i knew 70-90% of it, yet i scored 37!!haha

so applying and managing the time is also crucial

Last time I had 49 marks and this time expected to pass. The funny thing is that I passed P2 three years ago but why I canonot pass this paper I cannot understand! God, do not have any motivation left!!!!!

70% first attempt. Like others though, I really thought I’d failed this one – not sure where they found the marks!
