    Hi,

I have submitted the ACCA Mitigating Circumstances Request today for December 2019 exam.

I have received a response from ACCA just after an hour of submission mentioning” I can confirm that the details outlined in your letter have been recorded and will indeed be considered prior to the finalization of your mark.
The final mark displayed on your examination status report will include any consideration awarded during this process”.
Should I take this as positive response? and what action ACCA will take when marking my paper?

Does anyone have experience with it? if any of respectable tutor can comment on it as well, please.

It is a positive response in the sense that they will consider your mitigating circumstances.

However you do not say what your mitigating circumstances were. If, for example, it was because of problems in the exam room, then they will check with the person who was supervising the exam. Whether or not they give you extra marks depends on the reply from the supervisor and how bad the problems were.

Thankyou sir for your reply, I applied on the basis that on evening before exam my three years old fell from stair and had head injury we rush to Emergency and spend nearly three hours and I back home like 12:30am, I was not well myself before so was well exhausted and also I did not have a good sleep because of her condition.

In that case I really do not know. The ACCA have the details you sent them and so you have no choice but to just wait and see,

I hope your child is OK now.
