Well, that’s a relief
🙂
March 8, 2019 at 5:04 pm #508638Thank you so very much for your support, the notes and lectures, which i really enjoyed, were invaluable. I studied for this for about 40-50hours and was hoping for 69% but got 62% but a pass is a pass is a pass.
Kindest regards

March 8, 2019 at 7:15 pm #508656Good to hear … and many congratulations
March 12, 2019 at 1:19 am #509106Passed f4-global with 82%.
Thank you open tuition for the practice tests and mock exams. For anyone giving the exam, I recommend you to just practice the exam kits, online practice questions and read the notes only.March 12, 2019 at 12:06 pm #509153What about watching the lectures!!!
Other than that omission, I believe that you’re recommending exactly the same that I have consistently recommended since the format of the exam went to multi-guess
But very well done anyway – 82% is a great score
March 13, 2019 at 10:51 am #509237Oops, forgot to mention the lectures, it is also important. Just wanted to give people the heads up about avoid the book.
Yes , I agree the exam is now literally about guessing what to do in a particular situation.
Thank you , Sir Mike for your amazing lectures, really appreciated it.
March 13, 2019 at 11:56 am #509243You’re welcome!
March 14, 2019 at 8:32 pm #509354Passed the F4 exam with 92%. Thank you Open Tuition for all the lectures, notes and questions!
To anyone who is studying, do every single practice exam question you can find. Buy the Kaplan and the BPP exams kits and do all the questions (the BPP exam kit I think is better), plus opentuition and any others you can find.
Beware that some of the section A questions in the exam are worded very differently to the practice exam questions. Some of them got me thinking for a bit! You’ll need to understand the concepts properly otherwise they might catch you out 😉
March 15, 2019 at 6:02 am #509374Well done Ben – that’s a great score
March 18, 2019 at 9:26 pm #509650I’m happy I passed (64%) and dont have to resit the exam however I felt the Corporate law (ENG) exam version I took on the 1st of March was quite hard. I scored very high in my open tuition mock exam and chapter practice questions and so I was quite surprised when I could not answer quite a lot of the MCQs
In my exam, a lot of questions came out which were not covered in detail in the notes. For eg I can remember there were questions on calculating statutory redundancy pay based on the length of period worked, something around maternity leave period which I dont recall being covered in the notes.
For my financial accounting exam I scored 94% and I only used open tuition study materials so i think for my next exams in June I’ll purchase past questions to ensure I’m familiar with all possible exam questions.
I intend to continue using this service and I’m very grateful for all the hard work and effort that goes into making it free for us all.
Congratulations to everyone who passed and for those who didnt, stay strong. Dont give up
March 19, 2019 at 7:00 am #509665Hi Busola
First of all, congratulations on passing the Law paper and thank you also for the feedback
The notes and lectures are never intended to be a substitute for a study text – all we claim is that, if you thoroughly understand the material on this site, that should be sufficient for you to obtain a comfortable pass
We also consistently recommend that you acquire a revision kit from one of the approved publishers and that you work through those hundreds of questions over and over again and again
As for your future studies, I believe that I am correct in saying that, without exception, the other tutors for your remaining papers also strongly recommend that you practice as many questions as you can get your hands on
Once again, well done in passing this latest paper and good luck in your future studies
March 19, 2019 at 9:40 am #509679Hi everybody,
I want to prepare for CBE exam. The OT note is enough or I have to read something else like BPP\KAPLAN ??Thank you
March 19, 2019 at 12:55 pm #509691I suggest that you don’t need a study text … so save your money there
What you MUST acquire is a revision kit from one of the reputable publishers
The notes, lectures and endless hours in a revision kit should be ample for you to pass the exam comfortably
And, of course, if you have any queries that you feel need answering, post your question on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum and I shall get back to you
OK?
March 27, 2019 at 3:57 pm #510368Took Law ENG last week and passed – 82% – higher than expected, so very pleased (especially as my first ACCA exam since my CAT 10 years ago).
Used OT lectures & practice questions, as well as BPP revision kit and ACCA practice exams. Tip is definitely to practice questions over and over again.
The exam questions did throw me a little, as worded differently than a lot of practice ones, so really had to think about what was being asked – take you time and read the question a few times before answering, make sure you understand exactly what they are asking you to answer.
Thanks Mike & OT!
Now on to PM……
March 27, 2019 at 5:24 pm #510624Well done Ashley, and what a great score
Onwards and upwards
April 3, 2019 at 4:07 pm #511132Hello Mike & everyone,
I am a bit confused with this exam (I am quite new to ACCA). It is “on demand” exam right? So, it doesn’t appear within the ACCA exams’ schedule…How can I know when is the next exam? Does it depend on the country I plan to write it?
And second question, do you think 2 months of study are enough (for a full timer?) to pass? Consider studying 25 hours per week?
Thank you for any info and advice
MarinaApril 3, 2019 at 9:55 pm #511152For a full-time student, 25 hours per week should easily be sufficient
An ‘on demand’ exam indicates that the exam is a computer based exam and is available at any time at one of the cbe (computer based exam) centers
I’m not aware of any such centres in Germany, you’ll need to check that for yourself
Not all centers are always available so you’ll need to liaise with the centre to discover which dates are available for you to present yourself for the exam
One thing that you MUST do in the next 2 months is practice, practice, practice mcqs and mtqs from a revision kit from a reputable approved publisher
On that note, if you should happen to choose BPP as the approved publisher, you may wish to avail yourself of the 20% discount that is available to you if you order your BPP material through this site
Just click on the yellow box on this page and away you go
2 months? Read the notes, start to finish – they should take you no more than 2 hours – just read. Don’t try to ‘learn’ – just read. And do that once each week
Watch the lectures, twice if you can face it! And then get stuck into the revision kit
Whenever you hit a problem, post again on the Ask ACCA Tutor page and I shall get back to you
OK?
