I tried signing up but they are saying my details are wrong. I tried more than once.
June 12, 2014 at 1:48 pm #176192oh well, are you leaving OT already? 🙂
June 12, 2014 at 2:46 pm #176239Lol no. Was just curious to know what it is.
June 12, 2014 at 4:21 pm #176253Had the same problem! and I’ll never leave OT!!!
🙂June 13, 2014 at 5:50 am #176328I think there should not be any problem in signing up with ACCA learning community.
you have to enter your details as it reflects on your ESR and in My ACCA. There is a weekly updation of details and information by ACCA learning community that sucks in the changes you might have made in a week’s time, which means it is important that you will feed the information as recent as you incorporated with My ACCA.
Believe me , as of now it is crap!. There is hardly any benefit you will find, very few students interact, where students raise questions and queries and students replies to those. No expert or tutor is engaged to answer these queries and no study material available (of course whats the fun if ACCA provide study materials) other than articles and comments. I have registered for P4 and there was 2 interactions in total!!!
I don’t think it would be of any use at the moment. There is no substitute to OT at the moment. What is interesting me about OT is ask the tutor section, which is incredibly useful. Even if OT did not have other study materials, this section itself would have made OT popular as it is today. The content of replies in this section is of very high quality and the language is so easy to understand. Mike and Jhon is doing really a wonderful job and I take this opportunity to thank the OT team wholeheartedly for their priceless service.
But what amuses me is that OT is not known to many students world wide. I have this impression because when I see the exam feed back in OT, there will not be more than 1000 students casting their votes, while we all know that close to 500K students take ACCA exams each session. I think OT believes in word of the mouth publicity only. I wonder why ACCA is not taking an initiative to inform its students about the availability of free course materials, video lectures and many more in OT. I doubt this will reduce the business of their course partners, if that is the reason.
