a lot of practice is required. bpp and kaplan revision kits are awesome! passed fr today! first
sitting itself. such a reliefStarted giving OpenTuition a go in late Oct 2018 after getting stuck on essential topics like financial instruments, leases, etc. for around 2 months.
Passed with 65% with OpenTuition course notes, lectures and after doing limited amount of exercises in the PBB revision kit.
Thanks OpenTuition and thanks Chris! I’ll continue using and supporting OpenTuition in the future and I’ll be recommending it to my friends.
Edit: added “after doing” to “limited amount of exercises” . Don’t want to insinuate that the bpp revision kit exercises weren’t enough, I’m just saying I ran out of time for doing most of the exercises in the kit.
I am to, so interested in the responses to your question. What are you planning on using?

Failed with 40%. I can only put this down to having poor revision leading up to it and not being very well on the exam date! Hopefully the first and last fail!!

Does anyone have any general acca tips as I seem to pass my exams second time round – which obviously isn’t ideal and is disheartening as I do put in the time to study. Sometimes I think I don’t know how to revise as silly as it sounds I use BPP but maybe that’s not the way forward. How do people revise for their exams? Apart from obvious question practice? Any advice would be appreciated as I need to resit FR in March

i have cleared my FR with 50%
but my whole credit goes to FR teacher of open tuition
literally i had 9 days for my exam and i was having zero knowledge of FR but i was good with F3 paper knowledge
i just want to say open tuition notes of FR is Best along with lecture
in last 9 days i watched whole series of lecture which is of 22 hours but because i was noting down each and every small point in open tuition it took arround 48 hrs and i passedPassed with 59% thank God! Special thanks to Chris Barlow & Open Tuition team. May God bless you all.
