Passed first time thanks to John, 68%. Currently studying AFM.

How did you study? How many hours, what duration and which study resources did you use?

Watch the lectures, then complete a full revision kit of questions.

Section c questions weren’t as difficult as the mcq’s – mcq’s are all difficult as they throw in traps which you won’t know if you don’t practice. Simple example being if they ask you for eps, you need to check nominal value of shares and you won’t do that without practice.

Passed! Really happy! For anyone feeling discouraged, don’t give up! You can do this. The key to success is exam practice. Focus on answering exam questions even when you don’t feel confident on the theory, sometimes you pick up the theory through practicing. – it’s the best way to ensure you pass.

That’s great, congratulations. Was this your only paper for the session? Do you work full time and how many hours did you study per day?

I gave the FM examination in March. Couldn’t clear it but got 41 marks
Iam slightly confused as to whether I should give the FM exam in June again or give it in September attempt with another paper??
I feel giving the examination in June may be beneficial for me as I have given it in march and the course is still fresh in my head..
    Do suggest. Really confused???

Well, 41% means that you will have to work on your concepts alongside great amount of question practice.
Now there some factors one may need to consider before making a decision…
-are you a full time student or working
-how many hours in a day you can devote to studying
-do you have another exam to give in June
    And many more…
Personally, I would recommend to delay it uptil September.
There is no use of sitting for an exam for which you have not prepared well or are unprepared for.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best!
