    Another MCQ was with inventory days split in 3 categories, with 100m. acquisitions and it mentioned something that 50% were raw materiales, but I think it was something we didn’t need it. So it was 14 days/ 365 day x 100m = 3835 something like this. Anyone got this result?

    I did 3 calculations;

    Change in WIP using WIP days over full COS

    Change in finished product days over full COS

    Change in Raw materials over COS relating to Raw materials think it was 50m

    Can’t remember but I think I put A, what everyone else do?

    External Credit Checks
    And about accounts receivable department using aged debt reports and contacting customers regularly

    What about corrent ratio? 2 and 1.6?

    I got the same. Now I realize that was it was not necessarly to calculate quick ratio, but I did.

    How did you get at the overdraft @ end of Jan? I started with the overdraft at the beginning, I substracted 70% of payables, the operational expenses, the interest, and I’ve added 40% sales from november and 60% sales from december

    I wrote about factors that could determine a management policy… credit checks, follow up, use of factors… hope those were relevant

    Yep I pretty much wrote exactly the same stuff, aged receivables and utilisation reports, credit references, using public information like accounts, contacting customers. Also threw in early payment discount, factors, invoice discounting lol. I was just writing everything I could because I was confused by the question!

    @twistedheat
    I wrote assessing creditworthiness (bank and client reference, credit ratings from agencies or publically available where available), credit policy (for existing and new customers regarding the credit terms, credit limits etc), collecting amounts owned (phonecalls, mails, reminders), factoring (I wrote about it’s strengths and weaknesses too), and offering discounts although I am not sure about the last one. The last one felt as if I fired a shot inside dust with the hope that I will hit something.

    Sorry, I wrote something wrong, I put 0.25 for dividend, not 0.45, that is how I got 19%

    For 31 b the request was somewhat different, 5 techniques and not about management receivables policy so I wrote about invoice discounting, factoring, age of receivables, offering discounts, i’ll gain some marks.
