I am reading the answers and how most students thought the exam was ok. I compare my answers and I have to say I have more and more doubts that I managed to score this 50%. Especially when I read comments after March exam when people failed when they thought they would have passed 60% and people getting 60% after giving model answer. Also, a pass rage 38% shows this ok feeling after the exam is very misleading.Hi April,
I don’t think it’s feasible to expect everyone to have model answers because they won’t – so I’m sure people who passed didn’t always put model answers.
I just think with Audit, it’s hard to tell how well you’ve done because the answers people write may not even be answering the question, or may be an invalid point, or they may not have written enough points. Rather than be in limbo for 6 weeks, I always treat each paper as a potential re-sit till I see the results.

Hi Heychi,
This is a valid point. Yes, I am waiting and this is problem because I am not able to start studying for the next paper till I have the results and this really slows me down as I am not able to use 4 sessions as I could.
We will have results only on the 17th of July and this will be way to late to start preparing for September session.June 12, 2017 at 2:26 pm #392864@april04 said:

So anyway I realised I need to spend more time on it that anticipated so I moved on to F6 and passed 1st time. Then I’m now awaiting for f8 results. At the moment I’m working on F9. After that i’ll go back to f5 then f7 depending on how things go.
I used to waste time fretting but now I’m going to give myself the 1st 6 weeks to focus and get at least 80% of the work our of the way for the next paper. That way when the results come it’ll be easier to finish that paper as well as practice for the second re-take if need be. Otherwise it’s just wasting time as you can’t do anything about the mark either way.
June 13, 2017 at 7:41 am #392926Heychi, I think you have a good point there and good strategy. I sat F8 & F9 last week and had planned to wait for results before booking next exam in sep- I had planned to sit F7 (for the 4th time as well!) But if I had to repeat anything from last week I was going to do that instead- only thing about resitting like that is at least it’s still relatively fresh in your head plus I’ll be self studying them as my employer certainly won’t be paying for me to do the course again for repeats. I have to have a think about it, next term doesn’t start until mid- July and I’d planned on taking a break and having next few weeks off

Wow! an hour early? I didn’t even have enough time to properly finish the last question!Exactly that’s what is worrying me! Everyone seemed to be struggling for time and I have an abundance! I even went through the paper 5 times to make sure I hadn’t missed a question. Added all the marks up on the paper to make sure a page wasn’t missing!
I’ve more than likely not explained my answers fully enough and will be marked down. I stupidly didn’t leave a gap inbetween my questions to go back and add more so just sat there twiddling my thumbs!
Oh well there is nothing I can do now.

I always answer each question on separate sheets, even if they have a part b). It’s a bit OTT but I always get paranoid that they might miss one of my answers. Plus, there’ll be the room to re-do the whole question again if I come back to it and spot something.
June 15, 2017 at 3:37 pm #393256Hey, that’s exactly what I choose. Written rep.
June 16, 2017 at 6:56 pm #393328Guys how are you able to do two subjects in one session working full time at the same time?
I find it impossible time wise….
I only do one at the time. If I did 2 I am sure I would fail one so this means waste of money and time for repeating… plus I don’t get time off so it is covered with my holidays and it would be difficult to manage.June 16, 2017 at 7:18 pm #393330@april04 said:

My employer gives me paid leave for my courses as well as additional study leave. Therefore I have time to learn the course and study during my average working day.
I can imagine it is very hard with little support from your employer.

Hi Courtney,
This sounds great. At least you can enjoy your holidays. Half of mine goes towards the two exams to be able to do it.
I wanted to push it and was thinking about taking exam in September but I am losing 3 weekends due to arrangements so it really would be only 2 months with full time job…
Plus if I don’t even know if I passed F8 …
So I don’t think I can speed it up. It will take me years to finish it.June 17, 2017 at 5:13 pm #393390Not necessarily. Not all the mcq were relevant to the scenario but about one or two in each sec. Of all the sections in part A i belive the first and last questions were most challenging.
June 17, 2017 at 5:30 pm #393391I cannot remember being presented with a balance. Where did u get the current asset and inventory figures?
June 17, 2017 at 5:43 pm #393392I failed back in dec 2016 only because i was not prepared for the paper as i rank june 2017 being more difficult yet was more confident and comfortable in the exam. I didnt complete all of ques 17. Sec A and b were difficult only because i could n I t remember the procedures. Not sure about sec d. Over all i think i would deserve a pass for the effort of completing questions 18 & 16 though not certain of my answers.
Hoping for a pass. I always pass on the second attempt. Hope i did enough this time.
But if I fail my focus will be on Audit Evidence, finalization and ethics.
Good look everyone
June 18, 2017 at 12:33 am #393408hi. hope you all did well for your exams. if my memmory is right, they’ve mensioned the criteria to which the materiality should be measured. and that was revenue.

How many papers have you got left to take? I’m also unable to take more than 1 paper every 3 months. My plan is to go it alone until I’m part qualified and then seek an employer willing to support me through to the professional papers.
June 23, 2017 at 5:43 pm #393928Hi Heychi,
I still have F5 and F6 and awaiting F8 results so maybe 2 maybe 3 papers.
How about yourself?@heychi said:
