In march i scored 48 and in June 49%. I really feel down and very much doubt this result. Guys what are the processes invoved in seeking an administrative review. Is there are chance of success?

If there were one, how otherwise would ACCA make money from our resittings?
There’s no transperancy in their marking procedures. It was my best performance ever and I’ve failed. It’s so unfair that I’ll never know why. If I knew in advance about such an injustice I would’ve never dealt with this organisation.

Dont waste ur money over admin review. It is totally waste of money. I did iy before it wasnt worth the cost. It just totals the marks. Examiners will not recorrect.

Failed at 48 first attempt. Was very confident after exam but iam not sure whr exactly I made mistake. Feeling depressed.

Do you self study or go to the classroom. As I self study and I study just within time limit (up to 5 hours per week for one month before the examination) and I pass with 51 marks. I even do not do the multiple choices question in the revision kit.

I think it is because you do not focus on what will be tested and do no learn the theory. Do not try learn or read all the things from BPP text book ( I even do not read any pages of this book. I read only the material summarizing the content, it is shorter than that of the book).

If you want, I may send you the material I use to learn

What materials that you use to study for F8?

As I spent just 10 hours per week to study for F8 and do not read BPP books and even do not do the exercise in the revision. I think I may send you my material for reference

Passed with 56% – first attempt. Quite a miserable grade but I didn’t expect more. The exam was harder then I expected and after the exam I had a feeling that I could have failed. So I’m happy and thanks OT!!!!

Passed with 64 and I never expected this much. Thanks to Almighty. I was not sure if I will pass or if i will fail. I expected that if I pass, I will be scoring something less than 55 and if I fail it will be something between 45-49 which is even more worser. I could not attempt risks question and substantive procedures were learnt ( did not practice ) at the last moment. That was the same thing for F6. This was one of the most anticipated yet tensed results ever. I was even tensed to open the SMS. Finally opened..Bingo.. Thank God, I passed with 60 in F6 and 64 in F8.. More than I expected. I guess the theory bits in both F8 and F6 helped me to pass. Congrats to those who passed. T

Those who could not make it, I know its really depressing and heart breaking to fail by scoring 46 and so.. I have experienced it myself. I think you guys do not lack knowledge, its just that you need to practise revision kits. If you dont have enough time to do that, at least read through the questions and answers, the way they are written and the knacks of picking up easy marks. Obviously you need not by heart all those answers, but you will certainly get to know how to score easy marks just by a number, word or sentence. I went through Kaplan text books and revision kits and self studied. My morale was too low when I failed few papers in 40s thrice. My affliate friend advised me to practice revision kits. I put bit more effort in that area and I saw wonders in my results. I am moving into professional levels now and I have realized that learning, practicing and praying are the ways to pass. If I can do that, you guys too can. Dont lose hope. Just re attempt soon and best of luck guys. I hope that next time, you too will be sharing your success stories and how sweet you feel that time after being gutted now.

I know its discouraging but don’t give up. Maybe you should change your approach to the way you study it. Do a lot of past exam papers, concentrate on how the examiner wants you to respond. I used Kaplan for studying and did a lot of past exam papers and I got 82
